78 UL faculty signed this addressed to Ramsey, yet they have "more important things to address". These people man.

Truth be told, this latest incident is only one of a drumbeat of crises that have embarrassed the university and made many ashamed to be associated with it. Years of effort – and millions of dollars spent – to painstakingly build the University’s reputation in academia and standing in the community have been overshadowed. We have yet to discover what effect these will have on recruiting of students and faculty, or on the value of a U of L degree. Moreover, the University’s responses to these incidents have tended to shift accountability downward. The University faces a crisis of accountability and a consequent lack of confidence in its leadership. We cannot overstate how essential it is that you address this crisis in a real and verifiable way, through transparency and accountability. We look forward to hearing – in detail – how your office will remedy this unacceptable situation.http://wfpl.org/u-l-faculty-send-stinging-letter-ramsey-mexican-incident/

Eagerly awaiting the response letter from humanthropist J.D. Nichols scolding the general public for questioning Ramsey, The Foundation, or anyone else in this provincial river town's aristocracy.

“For the coaches and people connected with the athletic department its very sad for us, it’s a very sad situation for Billy Minardi’s family and my family. That so many disrespectful allegations were made that took place, it breaks our heart as a family, because we built that place to leave a legacy with somebody we lost in nine eleven," Pitino said.

“It hurts and it hurts every night. This team lifts your spirits up each day. It takes a lot to get me down and this has gotten me down. It’s sad for me and my family. I know every time the Minardi’s now hear that dormitory mentioned in that light it’s sad for them," Pitino said.

So very, very sad. Want to know what else probably is sad to the Minardi family when it is mentioned? How you touched (gyero) a woman who isn't your wife/Minardi's sister on top of a restaurant table. Then kept her close by having a henchman slam a ring on her.

"I fornicated with Karen Sypher for 15 seconds to honor my brother-in-law, Billy Minardi, who died on 9/11. The square root of 15 is 9/11, so I thought that was an appropriate tribute."

"Not sure your math works there, Coach."

"Well, Billy wasn't good at math, so I wanted to honor his death, which happened on 9/11, with some bad geometry. He always loved that before he died on 9/11."

"..."

"9/11."

"That so many disrespectful allegations were made that took place"

[laughing] That's the most Pitino phrase ever.

"Those things you claim happened? The fact that you would claim that those things happened? Incredibly disrespectful. Just despicable, really. What? Oh, yeah, they happened. Absolutely. But you claiming that they happened? Alleging that... You should be ashamed. Also, they're true. Also, 9/11."

"Coach, there are now 2 investigations, on by the NCAA the other by the Jefferson Co DA into the allegations of what occurred with your basketball program. How are you & the team handling this distraction and adversity?"

"Well that is funny, you know what else there were 2 of?

World Trade Center Towers.

One of which my brother-in-law Billy Minardi died in.

On 9/11."

Apparently the legal advice of "Pitino, shut up" only applied to ACC Media Day.

That doesn't apply in front of the Rick Pitino Book Club. You know, the local sycophants who have written a book with Rick or desire to write a book with Rick. If he can't exert influence over the questioner, then he must insist that upon the advice of counsel, he must remain silent.

Absolute truth. The idea of uncontrolled media asking tough questions at media day doesn't fit his agenda.

One of the best things about them joining ACC is that the conference requires coaches to go to media room from post game press conferences. He cannot do that ******** holding court outside the locker room that he likes to do after losses.

- I mean, this Louisville scandal has given me so much. So grateful. So blessed. Thanks 'Dre. Thanks unnamed MoneyMan.

- OK haterz, I'm going to give you a one-time chance to jump on the bandwagon of the 8-0 Cincinnati Bengals. This is it- get on board because I don't want to see you MFerz starting to rock the stripes in January. Get on now. Best-run franchise in the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE.

- Speaking of which- is there anything more pretentious in sports today than all these former players-now analysts refusing the NFL acronym? Really annoys me.

- Is landing Giles more of a prestige thing at this point? If the kid's smart- his eyes are just on June 2017.

- I'd be cool with Jarrett Allen. Very intelligent kid. Athletic. Two-year player. Maybe 3.

- Some BIG BOY games tomorrow- FSU @ Clem(p)son and LSU @ Bama. Whooooooaa Nellie.

Have been thinking about hitting that Bengals/Steelers game. Should be an experience.

Weekend is gonna be consumed by wedding stuff. The lass is the Maid of honor...if I have to hear one more damn thing about her speech, I swear you'd think she was addressing the UN about global war.

So excited for our boy Adrian. Can't even imagine, kid in a candy store.

Spectre tickets booked for Sunday. Hope it's better than some people are saying. Craig has been one of my favorite Bond's.

Dogs whip the Cats. Would be happy to eat those words.

I thought BlueKel was obsessed with UL...CrankDatCardinal has seemingly stopped stalking SAE and moved on to nothing but UL posts.

At least he isn't posting every thread from InsideTheVille anymore...although that's probably where he should spend his time.

Obviously Matt Jones and I aren't sending each other Christmas cards, but the fact that KSR disrupts their little media circle jerk over there pleases me greatly. The entire little fiefdom surrounding Louisville Athletics is set up like some ****** third rate banana republic (country not clothing line) and they pretty much control the message to the locals. It's not important enough for anyone outside to care about, so they largely get away with it, with the exception of KSR. That has to drive them bat **** crazy over there.

Also, I think the "Louisville Model" is much more the norm in college athletics than the "Kentucky Model". Although I will say the News & Observer in Raleigh has been up UNC's *** big time. Of course, that was largely after the rival state university down the road had done a ton of the leg work through their damned message board. In Tuscaloosa or Tallahassee the local model is very much the Louisville Model. The problem is those programs are too big to go nearly completely unchecked.

The ACC is the wild card in all of this. In the past 15 years or so, Louisville has had all the leverage over the second rate conferences they were propping up with their football program. They aren't a pimple on the ACC's ***. The ACC does not have to kowtow to them at all. The Kentucky television market isn't ****. The Louisville basketball program is a distant third in that league, with no real clout. The Louisville football program is just a middle of the pack also ran. They have absolutely no leverage over the ACC and if the ACC wants to feed them a **** sandwich over this mess, all they can do is eat it and ask for seconds. They made their bed...
