I'm calling Bam Adebeyo "BAM!" and I don't give a rip who it irritates.

The rest of the class I will refer to by their last names. But I am going full on Emeril Lagasse with BAM!
Existing nicknames are fine. If the first name is unique or last name is difficult its ok. I mean we refer to our coach as Cal. So, no we won't stop calling him Zay. If you can't see the difference, sorry. I'm also using Skal and I still say Marcus Pee every time he scores. Same as Cuz, MKG, Twins, KAT, Willie.

It fits some players just not all players. That's the difference. We're not saying TWillllllll, Mega, Russ, E5, Dre, Rick, Tom, Teddy, Elleraisor, Kdawg, Big Tyme Yerts, Jdub.

CAN WE STOP CALLING HAWKINS DOM FOR CRYING OUT LOUD

[eyeroll]

Most of GYERO understands what's acceptable, and can also tell when we're just being silly. I use Briscoe 90% of the time.

Rule of Thumb: When you have Adam & Century Cat in the opposite corner you can feel pretty good about your position.

The Dragon has three heads. We will take what is ours with Fire & Blood.
So Ulis is obviously Tyrion. Do Briscoe and Murray have to fight it out to decide who is Jon Snow and who is Dany?

Also, I don't care what any of you bastards call our players. I'm just saying that I'm calling Bam "BAM!" so deal with it.

Murray is obviously Jon Snow. He's from Canada aka The North.
But he's also showboaty and much more likely to dumbly take over some third world city and stay there for a year just to prove something that no one cares about, so he's got that in common with Dany.

Briscoe strikes me as someone who would just say "F*** you Ramsey Bolton, I am going to kill you."

So it might be closer than you think.

And with that I am way out in left field talking nonsense.

there is NOTHING about this basketball team, or any other, that reminds me of ANYTHING about game of thrones. and (just getting it out of the way now) ill say the same for harry potter, lord of the rings, magic, dungeons and dragons, and the hobbit.

quit making gay sci fi/fantasy references about our basketball team, weirdo.

Battle of the two 7'6 guys between UCG and UC-Irvine on ESPN 3. Neither made it to the first time out before they needed a break.

November 2016 - UK/Michigan St in NYC
December 2016 - UK/UNC in Las Vegas

Shew...:flushed:

I'm going to try to be chief resident next year, largely in part so I have ability to make my own schedule and be at both games.

WHY I DID THIS.

- Never met the infamous Barney Reynolds, would like to have a few crafties in Brooklyn with you and other wildcat friends.

Can't remember the name of the bar, but it's like 1 block from Barclays right of the subway pretty much right across from the arena...UK Alumni makes it their little home base pregame bar just like The Ogden in Chicago....think they team up with Jack Demsey's for an all day/night kinda deal for Bean-like folk.

Edit: Uncle Barry's, I believe. Buses also run there from to/from Demsey's.

UNC has some guys inside that could bother us rebounding...but damn, they can't keep anyone out of the lane. Our guards would have a field day. Yeah, Paige is out...but he isn't exactly known for his defense.

Starting to think about this... Why can't Lee be our Cauley Stein this year? He's may not be the on the ball defender WCS was but in terms of a rim
protector and energy guy on offense getting dunks & put backs? Sure, he can be equally as effective for this team.

He's not as fast but his energy is ridiculous. WCS was just so agile. I like Lee's mildly limited but improved offensive game. Pretty money on that little layup. Be interesting to see if his numbers continue.

I think Lee has the potential to be more consistent than Willie. Regardless, I love his energy and his growth. He seems way more confident this season.

No doubt he should be more consistent I just don't think he has that ability to take over games for 5-10 minute stretches like WCS.

Arkansas just dropped one at home to Akron. Akron. What a kick in the balls to top off their miserable day.

Jesus buddy. Take a break. Pack some cashews and an apple. You just consumed 30,000 calories the past 3 days.

I get why Arkansas fans are mad. Very similar to the Damian Harris situation and I was pretty salty but he's a damn radio host. Get it together. If you don't understand why he went to UK that's way more on you. Also Monk has been listening to UK for a long time and his crystal ball had been shifting for 6 months. This isn't new they just refused to acknowledge it.

Also, he did do them a favor and signed early rather than string them along until May. Gives them plenty of time to move on. Not to mention that place is a disaster right now with controversy. I mean the list is huge. Writing had been on the wall for months. Especially with the Fox package news. SMH.

Have it your way. Good luck on your quest to 300lbs.

When I'm up there I typically get Jersey Mikes because we don't have it around here.

that idiot sports guy spent half the rant talking about all the extra perks arkansas showered monk with, while ironically insisting both that cal was a cheater and that arkansas did things the right way.

in addition, the fact that monk instantly became a bona fide one and done, and a symbol of everything that's wrong with modern sports, in the span of a moment.....wow. the hypocrisy and delusion is overwhelming.

it also highlights just how unusual caliparis shtick is. he is literally the ONLY adult in america telling kids he will encourage them to accept a $6 million a year job. the sanctimony is despicable.

Anti 1 and done-ers have absolutely no concern of anyone's level of education. They just know they can't get the players and use that as an excuse to try and tear down the strategy. I highly doubt that Cal's strategy has been a detriment to the kids he's coached. Seems like the bonafide studs go on to have lucrative NBA careers. And the ones that don't end up graduating and do pretty well for themselves. What the hell is not to like? I guess there are less anti 1 and done-ers these days due to Coach K's success. He validated it after all.
