Arkansas fans and idiot radio hosts want to blame someone they should point the finger to their administration for allowing the program to slide to where it is today.

None of these 17 & 18 year old stud recruits remember nor care anything about the Hogs early 1990's dominance.

WIN some games-- make the tournament consistently and WIN TOURNAMENT GAMES. Force kids to *want* to pick Arkansas because you are a successful winning program.

Bashing a 18 year old kid because your program is irrelevant (It's Cal's fault [laughing]) is gutless.

I would like to sincerely thank you for pointing out the most obvious thing possible. Your contribution to this thread is now noted and Hall of Fame Coach John Vincent Calipari appreciates your support.

Thank you, That One Guy Who Once Stalked SAECat or Something or Other for your alerting me to the fact that the University of Kentucky is, in fact, a better launchpad for an NBA career than the University of Arkansas and that that one bitter, elderly sportswriter in Nowheresville, Walmartstate who is grouchy about it is missing the point.

Without your post I would not have been able to make the connection nor would have any of the other smart people who make this thread a fun place to discuss basketball understood those implications.

Seriously: thank you. You brilliant genius.

Why are they so much more pissed about this than Archie Goodwin. After we got him from them seems like they would have been resigned to this fate with Monk.

-Goodness gracious our offensive spacing is improved. And it will get even better, once Briscoe figures a few things out. Think I counted three times when Cal screamed at him because he was out of position.

Love the fact that a 17-year-old Humphries was unafraid to get in there and mix it up. He should have dived for that loose ball at halfcourt, but I doubt he'll ever make that mistake again. Good to see a big who's willing to play like an actual big instead of a big dainty porcelain mouse. Imagine that Wynyard will be the exact same way.

Also, it's nice to see the end(basically) of mindless dribble pounding out top. Ulis always seemed to have a purpose with the ball. A big relief after two years of "dribble until there are six seconds left on the shot clock" offense.

-[laughing] at Indiana. They really thought this would be their best class since Zeller's bunch. Instead they're stuck with GRANT and some kid out of the Northeast that I'd never heard of. But congrats on getting the best player out of Colorado, I guess. At least he's big.

-Looks like everyone's finally caught on to Dad's Favorites. Line was way out into the hallway yesterday. And the hipsters have discovered it, too apparently.

He lives in Bentonville, I think his brother was on staff or the staff helped with his AAU tourney. Sounds similar to the Damien Harris stuff.

^ look never leaves his face, unless it grows into a slight grin or swaggy smile.

Stone cold.

Briscoe is a seemingly fitting dog name, btw. Imagine there will be lots of those...

- If there aren't kids walking up and down South Limestone and campus with mouth guards hanging out over the next few months I'll be extremely disappointed.

- Seeing Zoolander 2 come out makes me very, very happy.

Been quite disappointed in Hollywood for never coming out with Heavyweights: Return to Fat Camp. Would crush.

Possible my favorite movie of all time.

The thing that stood out about that Arkansas radio guy is that he would have been ok if Monk had gone to Duke or UNC instead of evil one and done Kentucky. Pretty much sums up that he is no college basketball. Marcus send him to UofL for whores.

Thursday Shorts:

- So, Fisher thinks UK is still in it for Kobi Simmons? Maybe Cal is warming to this 3 PG/CG system. I wouldn't be opposed to it. I guess both he and Cal are waiting to see if Briscoe and Ulis both leap.

- What about Ulis's footwork inside the paint? What a sound ballplayer.

- You have to stick with Skal as experience and confidence is the only thing that will get him where he needs to be...BUT I love the three guards in there with Poythress and Lee. That's my favorite lineup right now.

- "Love Actually" is a damn good holiday film. I don't care what anyone says.

- TJ McConnell is averaging 7apg for the Sixers? Say what?

- As a fan, besides the overall tourney success, relatively "fun" style of play and recruiting domination, the thing that makes his era so fan-friendly is that he's not stubbornly locked into a system. He's not Bill Self trying to run the High-Low with Landen Lucas. Cal is flexible and his system depends upon his talent. Likewise, rarely do we have lineup/rotation complaints. That's the kind of stuff that is maddening for fans. Thank God we don't have to deal with it much.

- On a Kings of Leon kick. I know they're not the hip band they were a decade ago, but I love them. Good ol' rock-and-roll. Also a good late Fall/winter listen.

- Thoughts on Michigan State @ Ohio State? The Buckeyes have been sleepwalking all year. Will they answer the bell or will a tough Spartan squad punch them in the mouth? I hate the Big 10 but it's good having Big 10 football back and meaning something.

-If LSU fires Miles, first of all they're insane and extremely unaware, this season I will be pissed. They need to hold on at least another season or two so it coincides with our job opening. Really though, I'd just fire Stoops and hire him anyway. Watch him end up at Carolina.

-Really hope the Irwin guy shows up on KSR and not just that younger tool. Although it would just be a loud talking over incoherent mess. The hypocrisy is amazing in that dudes sentiments. This kid and UK are scumbags but I wanted him so bad on our team I'm willing to admit we pushed the rules and I'm going on radio like a raving lunatic to bash his family and UK.

-I'm in my normal area of town today at my office. Any recommendations on 5k calorie lunches I need to hit?

-Facebook is a disaster with uninformed political views. I have family members bashing this refugee situation and while it certainly makes me uncomfortable OUR family started with 18 year old refugees from a fascist regime during a time when Catholics/Italians were hated in the states. Same time there was also a small pocket of Anarchist Italians here in the US blowing **** up including several bombs at the homes of judges and political figures. /hypocritical political rant assuming GYERO can handle it. (Adam, I'm not interested in your opinion)(I am interested in Rob's greasy Wop take though)

-Zoolander 2 will suck.

It's not quite a swastika but there's more race related poop controversy at Vanderbilt.

On the Hidden Dores Facebook page, the organization released an official statement, saying that it was “appalled to announce that our demonstration yesterday was met this morning with a vile act.” It went on to underscore the Black Cultural Center’s historical importance as a safe haven for the campus’ African American students, noting, “The violation of a place that in many ways is the sole home for many Black students is deplorable.” “As many of us sit in grief, recognize that these types actions are what we speak of when we note the reality of exclusion and isolation of students of color and specifically Black students on our campus,” the statement said

Turns out what really happened is...

Junior Stephanie Zundel, who is visually impaired and assisted by a service dog, clarified that on her way inside the Black Cultural Center to work on a group project, she was unable to find a trash can to dispose of her dog’s waste and left it outside. According to Zundel, this is the typical protocol for handling service dog feces when a garbage can cannot be found. "The one thing that guide dog school trains every student to do is that if they don’t know where the garbage can is, you still always pick it up and put it in the bag, that way no one steps in it," Zundel said. "But then you leave it outside of a building. That way someone else who sees a garbage can put it in there."

Not going to argue politics, or why ISIS/Syria is a new & different situation.

Would advise you to read up on what our FBI, Homeland Security, CIA...(basically everyone but Obama) thinks about it -- which is why House is voting on a bill to effectively 'pause' it all today, until the process/requirements are severely strengthened, as they should be.

Did you read what I said? Obviously not, because I never even addressed that. Never said anything about what we need to do and actually said it makes me feel uncomfortable bringing them in.

I just think it's hilarious that people think this is a recent NOW problem and OMG this is something new when this type of thing has been going on forever. How am I going to judge these people when my family benefited from the same help they're asking for with eerily similar terrorism going on.

Read up a little on the early Italian's in this country.

I'm shocked the 76ers are getting 7 assist/game as a team. They are god-awful. Feel bad for Nerlens.

Has the conversation already started about Anthony Davis not being able to stay healthy?

The news is on my office TV all/air, and the news dominates my TV at home when a good game isn't on...especially of late.

I haven't heard one word about early Italians, from any side -- b/c it's not relevant. You hear about Jewish refugees in WWII...which I don't find that similar either, for reasons I won't discuss here.

When I go to the ATM late at night, I'm not looking over my shoulder for Italians, I'm looking for...

It's a pretty well known fact that anarchist eye-ties from the late 19th century used a crytographic, ubiquitous, and instantaneous communication network to execute plans and disseminate propaganda at will, to millions of devotees.

Read you're history books, BBdk.

Was Don Corleone ISIS or nah?

No, but your inquiry couldn't be more well timed. Report below came out yesterday:

http://www.ansa.it/english/news/pol...isk_43ae7bb8-ab19-426b-a6d3-64f8a4235d3c.html

Related, after the Charlie Hebdo ****, the Boss of Corleone, Salvatore "Toto" Riina, in an interview, told Sicilian journalist Michele Raimundi, that he's prepared to fight ISIS infiltrators in Italy if released from his life sentence. Riina was charged with ordering more than 300 Mafia related killings.

Dolly and I came across a "service" dog on campus last night and that big ***** started Woofing and jumping and acting a damn fool. The owner was using all her strength to restrain that German POS dog and it took every ounce of me to not make a smart comment about her fake *** service dog. I should have called them racist, too, as my Dolly is very black and beautiful. I'm tired of people and their fake service dogs.
