You can't down play mashed potatoes and hail mac n cheese as culinary greatness. I make a mean mashed potato with some horseradish that will make you question things.

But let's be real, on average the Mac n cheese we'll all be eating tomorrow will be at best the quality of a Bob Evans dinner. Sure someone will try to get cute and try toasting some bread crumbs or throwing in some ham but we all know how that turns out 75% of the time.

We haven't talked about the stuffing vs dressing debate. Anyone still stuffing a bird is failing.

Anyone checking out amazon's "man in the high castle"? Interesting premise...we lose WWII...Japan controls western US and the Nazis everything east of Rockies...misinformation campaigns..."truthers" with info showing propaganda/cover up, etc. acting isn't great.

Latte's mom is still pretty stressed, you guys.

I've never been so frightened/scared as I just was during a crashed blood sugar...during the event I died and remember it AND going through the dying process...never in my 40-year history of type I diabetes have I had such a realistic event....Cinnamon was outside...apparently when Mr. Dogsworth let her in she ran to me and began vigorously licking my face ..... and now she is glued to me... it was just horrible ...

Plan on watching it soon. Apparently, for publicity, they put freaking Nazi regalia all over NYC subways. Like completely covered the entire inside of the train with Nazi ****. Which is about the dumbest thing Amazon has ever done, besides the Fire Phone of course. They (MTA) pulled the ads, but who approved this ****?

Mashed potatoes are the most simpleton food on the thanksgiving table. SMH at anyone who would pick them over sweet potato casserole, au gratin potatoes, hash brown casserole, or any other potato dish at the table.

That person would also probably cram some turkey and a slice of Kraft American cheese between a dinner roll for a dope sambo.

I finished it up last weekend. The "world building" is the best part by far. The characters are nothing to write home about. Serviceable.

Mashed potatoes = simpleton

LOL what a ridiculous take. In fact one of the worst culinary takes in gyero history.

A perfect Mashed potato from scratch is amazing. The French have been battling over this for centuries.

I like both. Nice creamy Mac and mashed potato that has as much butter as potato. Turkey is the worst part of Thanksgiving meal.

Sneaky trick for the holidays is to go rib roast. There's a quality meat.

Mac and cheese as a main side? For the kids table maybe. Can't imagine wasting valuable real estate on it.

Stuffing, corn pudding, sweet potato casserole (only a dab or two, too sweet), mashed potatoes, egg noodles, green beans, and a not so common side is a little bit of cole slaw.

What exactly is the "perfect" mashed potato? I thought they were all the same: potatoes, butter, milk/cream, salt and pepper. Maybe I need to go spend a couple semesters at the French Institute of Culinary Slapdicks and figure this out.

You had me until egg noodles. Why are you going to waste valuable real estate on any noodle? Especially one that is worse than Mac and Cheese......

....unless it is an egg noodle from scratch. That the Italians argue over.

Egg noodles makes for a good spinoff: strange dishes your family does for thanksgiving.

Lassie's family fixes fried oysters every year. Weird, but I'm never mad at fried seafood.

I'm not gonna sit here silently while someone disparages mac and cheese. You hate sunsets too? What about newborn puppies? You and your loved ones can get pumped this holiday weekend if you aren't up for some mac and cheese.

Mac and Cheese for life. Pump some cole slaw
