His play-calling was, in fact, directly the problem. The guy showed an astonishing ignorance or blatant disregard for game/clock management. Nearly cost us the Lafayette game and certainly ended a few others early.

interesting he is trying to get out in front of the firing, playing up the perception that Stoops handcuffed him/interfered with offensive philosophy

Mark Mangino is available - good enough for the good Stoops, good enough for us, IMO. Plus his fat would be entertaining in and of itself.

This is not horrible. He was the OC at Oklahoma for Stoops lone championship. I mean he won big at Kansas of all places.

He deleted it but Alex Montgomery tweeted Yahtzee about Dawson leaving. Seems like the WR's are giddy. How long before the first Spurrier horse farm posts start?

Maybe we can spend some money on gloves that help the receivers, you know, actually catch the GD ball. Seems we must have ordered the wrong brand here.

I didn't pass on state dock because it was dry, it was another hour each way. I always plan and stock up anyway.

Really don't care what y'all choose to do in your own homes. I've said my peace. Much the same as smoking is bad for you. Light up your krispies...just don't be surprised when the cancer night stalker has its way with you and your family.
You should be bringing your money to Dale Hollow anyway

When approached by the University of Kentucky, Marvin Reynolds, a former sales associate at Circuit City and manager of the Richmond Road Blockbuster, told WKYT that he had no interest in the offensive coordinator position. When asked for comment Reynolds simply stated "I'm holding out for something more stable." Reynolds refused to comment further as he continued collecting shopping carts in Walmart parking lot.

Sources close to the search indicate that Rodney Baker will be the next target. Baker has recently been donating plasma and participating in paid medical studies in order to pay his 1/5th of the rent. He is expected to take the job if offered. Stay tuned for the latest.

please, for the love of god, whoever we hire, please don't immediately start with this AIR RAID ********. please.

im not convinced dawson and his playcalling directly were the problem.

his poor relationship with stoops
prima donnas
failure to play up to expectations
poor execution
lack of focus/strategy
staff losing control of locker room

i won't miss him, but this doesn't seem to me to be a huge catalyst for change.

Do us all a favor and stick to insulting your friends, running and reviews of your nasty *** city. You don't know dick about football.

Hiring Joker back as the OC would be such a 4th wall shattering recognition of Kentucky football that it would work like a charm. The problem has been that we have tried to run away from Kentucky football moves for so long and we just keep unintentionally making them.

Admitting this and making the most Kentucky football hire of all time might be what it takes to break the curse. To not be stupid, we have to out stupid ourselves.

Just a pet theory I've been kicking around

Really glad we waited a month to make the move. That makes complete sense. Hey, let's fire the offensive coordinator after a couple huge recruiting weekends. Maybe we can drag out hiring his replacement until National Signing Day and call it a "Signing Day Surprise". #BattleshipSunk

<--- would honestly be OK with bringing Joker in as OC I mean WTF not (and he'd be cheap)

DISCLAIMER: Does he have an NCAA show cause or anything like that?

Ok, we're at our monthly "everyone one of your posts is about me" reminder. Go eat a steak and think of a way to contribute to the thread that doesn't involve "haha anth is a ***** and works for his daddy... gunsmurderboatstitsporschehotubchomp."

Listen Jr, you started all this ****. So go take your ball and run home. Stick a piece of pizza in your Italian pie hole and just shut it.

Have a nice trip.

Haven't given up hope on this staff but next year is definitely a "show me" situish.

I'm a year ahead of you, I guess. Because everything was setup on the effing tee to at least get those kids to a bowl game and they could not do that. They showed me all I needed to see. Sad but true. The Stoops interview yesterday did not deter me of that belief, either. After year 3 and you're admitting you still have zero offensive identity? Grief.

Go check out Towles' Twitter timeline. He was definitely Team Dawson. Did everything but directly call out Stoops.

I just want Stoops to hire an offensive guy who actually does what he wants to do, i.e., ball control. Be who you are. Bringing in up-tempo guys and then handcuffing them benefits no one and creates the CF we saw this year.

Dad (no Gyero, actual father) wanted some new gloves for Xmas so I got some for him. Had no idea what size to get, so I got large. No way my dad has tiny hands. Got me to thinking- that's gotta be a pretty emasculating purchase if you go in the store and get "small" sized gloves. Probably shop online if that was the case.

That's me #hottake on #gloves for today.

It wouldn't be the UK football offseason if someone wasn't getting fired while players expressed all kinds of "in house" thoughts and opinions on social media.
