Yeah, so, I stand by my all year assertion that we're a top 20 or so team, nothing more, nothing less.

And can we PLEASE (Chad) quit with the "most talented backcourt" in the country nonsense? There isn't a more homer take in the land than that.

I can name 8-9 more talented backcourts, if you're counting 1-3...which in CBB is a backcourt. I'll do it now.

OU: Woodard/Cousins/Hield
KU: Mason, Graham, Greene, Svi, Selden
IU: Yogi, Johnson, Blackmon, Zeisloft, Williams
WSU: Baker, Van Fleet, Frankamp, Wessell, Shamet
UNC: Paige, Berry, Britt, Pinson, Jackson
Villanova: Archhi, Brunson, Hart, Booth, Bridges, DiVincenzo
UConn: Purvis, Adams, Hamilton, Gibbs, Cassell, Calhoun
Cal: Wallace, Bird, Brown
UofL: Lewis, Q, Lee, Mitchell, Adel

Our backcourt is:

Ulis : All American
Murray: Streak shooter and turnover machine, BALLED OUT IN HOOP SUMMIT, CANDIAN GAMES, AND OSU LOSS
Briscoe: SWAG FOR DAYS, sucks at everything else except layups and looking cool in a uniform.
Matthews: lol
Mulder: lol
Hawkins: lol

Oh, and what is our frontcourt ranked? How do they stack up? LOL

Wake up folks, we're marginal AF!

Was there no possibility that Wynyard could've played 5 minutes or so tonight? He could not have been worse than what we had out there.

For me, it's all about who comes and who goes for next years team. Tonight kind of ended my hopes and I don't think any tweak can change it.

I hope Cheick Diallo's dumbass enjoyed courtside seats yesterday while the team he should've just racked 12 points and 15 boards for got their soft-as-Charmin asses beat. Dumb MFer.

I'm irrationally redassed at everything. Everything. Hate this team. Hate everyone but Ulis. Hate Simmons. Hate all the recruits who passed us up so we had to go get this ********** Murray. Hate Louisville.

We're an eight seed.

Our front court is an unmitigated disaster, and will ultimately be our demise. Our backcourt should be better, other than Ulis, but the front court is Sun Belt caliber and often times a complete embarrassment to the uniform.

Poythress plays basketball like he had a traumatic brain injury. Skal is a 5 year old girl in a freak athlete's body, and Lee is an athletic garbage man that has no business anchoring the frontline for a contender.

That game in Allen Fieldhouse is going to be horrifying. They're going to do everything possible to run it up after last year, and they're going to succeed because no one on our team will stop them. I'd take Kansas -20 in that one and hit it hard.

*I feel for Ulis the same I felt for Nerlens. Two really nice college players that deserve better teams.

*I think Ulis and Murray are just going to have to go Napier/Boatright 14' UConn...anything other than one of them shooting the ball or getting someone else a dunk feels like a wasted possession.

*No doubt Murray is frustrating...but damn, we have to have him. Our spacing is already ****. You hear the NBA guys talk about "gravity"...pulling defenders away from the hoop. We have only 3 guys that have gravity, Ulis, Murray, and Willis. That can make an offense difficult to run.

*Skal...I thought Ole Miss might have been a bit of a step forward but we are approaching bust talk. Not there yet, but approaching.

*Briscoe...he is the biggest WTF on the team for me. I cannot fathom how you play ball your entire life, become a top 20 player in HS and obviously have elite hand eye coordination but can't shoot FT's at at least a 65% clip and 3's at a 25% clip.

*Alex is the same guy he was this time 4 years ago.

*Worst outing of the year for Marcus, right after everyone was heaping praise on him he goes out and ***** the bed...what was his foul to minute ratio anyway?

*Cal doesn't escape criticism in this one, his rotation or lack of had no rationale.

Bridge year?

It's spelled desperate. You better hurry and edit your hot picks. Anybody who reads this thread knows you care more about what people think than a teenage girl.

-I've never seen a front court so feckless. Lee and Poy lost their freaking minds while Skal proved to be pillow-marshmallow goodness and useless per usual. For a "skilled" big, Skal hasn't proven to be able to do anything skillful other than shoot jump shots. He's a project.

-Not sure Briscoe should log starter minutes. Unless he's Dennis Rodman on defense, I doubt we're getting a net plus from him being on the court. His offense is abysmal. He may end up being be the least efficient offensive player to ever start for Cal.

-Matthews would be relegated to Stacey Poole role if we were elite. I know he played out of necessity for the most part, but man. He has had a really rough last 7 games.

-Murray oscillates between good and saboteur. Ulis and him really need to carry the team. Nobody else out of the guys Cal wants to play are capable of doing anything but make a layup or dunk.

-I wonder if Cal will ever be tempted to give Willis/Mulder extended minutes at the 3. Defense would probably suffer, but it should help Murray and Ulis offensively. A true 3 and D, like Liggins, would be a panacea for much of this team's offensive woes.

WE ARE GOING TO LOSE TO JOHNNY TOUCHING JONES. I REPEAT, JOHNNY TOUCHING JONES.

I don't give a rat's *** what year of basketball I'm forgetting, that's absolutely touching terrible.

Touch off if you feel otherwise.
We're a Julius Randle buzzer beater from being 3-3 vs Johnny Jones even though we've had 10 as much talent.
