It's a mix of Good, Decent, and bad -- but that Red, White, & Boom lineup is pretty huge for Lexington.

My wife hasn't mentioned it, which means she's not aware. Imagine it would be a pretty fun time regardless...anyone ever been? Or is it a festival like madhouse? All day or just nightly shows? #

Will that be opening UKFB weekend again?

Good night, that's like all the super-villain country hacks in one place at the same time. I can just see the bedazzled True Religion jeans, the stiff unbroken in cowboy boots being awkwardly strutted, and schmedium flannel shirts rolled up the the elbows and and not tucked in.

-South Carolina smacked. Knew that was coming just didn't know who.

-Blakeney starting to pick up for LSU. Hopefully it sticks and they get more consistent down there.

Red, White, and Boom 2016 is nothing like Red, White, and Boom in the past. This year it's a 3 day festival and tickets are around $200.

Other than Ruby's and Metropole is there anywhere decent in Downtown Cincy to have a nice meal?

*I would prefer something that doesn't require a bullet proof vest.

I went to RWB back in 2014 when Rhett headlined it. I paid $10 for my ticket, drank from my flask and met a girl from tinder there. Remember when tinder was cool?

It was a good time and not really crowded at all. I think this year will be a circus with that line up plus the 10000% mark up on price doesn't help. I am going to spring for the VIP ticket today though (unlimited booze, food and premium seating was enough to suck me in. Ohhh, and the posh restrooms.) $60 more per day for red carpet, limo style VIP is a bargain.

Check with my buddy Chad, he's all over the dining/wine scene these days.

May spring for 2 VIP tickets if I can get them...imagine there would be no issue selling/profiting with that lineup if it comes to that.

10 Powerball tickets = 2/60 correct numbers (and it was the same number twice).

Oh well. Looks like I'm not retiring this week.

All caught up on Downton...damn, what a show.

Still don't get your hate for Bates/Anna, max. Probably the two best natured chaps on the show.

Dowager Countess Violet ftw, though. Love that woman.

Anna and Bates are just whiny *** mopes who both probably committed murder, or at least would have been cooler if they had.

Lady Mary is THE WORST though.

-Glad you're enjoying Downton, Adrian.

I'll take the OVER on drunken fights at that ridiculous music festival btw. Jesus Christ that's going to be bad.

Let's gather every testosterone-infused Kentucky boy ages 19-27, get them drinking all day, sprinkle in some young Kentucky girls, make them all really uncomfortable, and then turn up their favorite ****** country music really loud!

Kentucky is gonna Kentucky that weekend.

I like Morelein House & Montgomery Inn Boathouse as well. The Precinct is 10 minutes down Columbia Parkway as well.
Moerlein House would be better if it was Rhinegeist House or MadTree House or Braxton House, etc., etc.

Food is pretty good and the space is cool. But their guest beers >>> their home beers.

I like all the recs expecially The Precinct and Nada. I moved in 2011, but my favorite was Senate. I still make special trips just to eat there.

I'm going to make a prediction and say I'll hate the dbags who have their phones out shouting "Worldstar!" filming these animals fighting more than the actual drunken redneck idiots doing the fighting.

Is the actual Rhinegeist brewery worth a visit? I'm a big fan of their beers and will have some time to kill before a wedding in Cincy this weekend.

Also, please advise if a kevlar vest is recommended. Thanks.

Surely, someone ends up in "Big L's" outfit and goes on a rampage that night.

Haven't been yet since they redid everything but everyone I know that's been said its pretty cool since they renovated it. Lotta one time only type beers too.

I've become a big fan of Braxton's taproom and beers down in the COV.

I've been to both without armor or weapons fwiw but I do have an uncanny amount of street smarts and situational awareness others here might not possess.

Thursday Morning Hot Takes:

- I think I hate the arrogance with which Anth gives his awful takes these days much more so than the actual awful takes. I mean the dude's always been a marginal poster. It's his demeanor that's gotten worse and he seems to take pride in it for some reason. HOT TAKE.

- Rickman's most underrated performance? You guessed it- Love Actually. HOT TAKE.

- All country shows are going to red. That doesn't mean they're not fun and good. Go, drink, show your babe a good time, discreetly check out the lassies in their short shorts, boots and hats. Then profit like 2010 Joe Bonzo. Learn country concert. HOT TAKE.

Got freebies for Toby Keith with the lass in September. You couldn't find a redder crowd in Madisonville, but you know what- had a helluva time. DOUBLE HOT TAKE.

Plus, Aldean, Church and Musgraves can all put on a show. FGL and Rhett are fine goodtimes summer music. HOT TAKE.

- Amazes me how quickly the dating trends change. Been out of the game for a year and my single buddy was telling me about some new app. LUKEWARM TAKE.

- OK, I'm done with that gimmick.

- wcc's Cincy dining breakdown:

Banks- Moerlein Lager House, Yard House

Downtown- Mita's, Nada, Scotti's

OTR- Anchor, Eagle, Salazar, Taft Ale House

Yes. Big open space. No food, but you can bring a cooler or order a pie delivered. Ping ping, foosball, cornhole. Good times.

I'd check out Taft Ale House instead. Rhinegeist is cool, but it's on an island and that island is deep hood. I love Taft's beers, location and atmosphere. If you do Rhinegeist, just Uber to and from and you'll be all right.
