bbdk played a role in that. years ago a co worker got me a special uk football themed birthday cake. she wanted to personalize it by using the likeness of my favorite player. not knowing anything about sports, she reached out to bbdk for suggestions.
bbdk: "yeah, put #10 on there. pti loooooves karl booker."

she legitimately thought he was being helpful, and would pull off a really cool moment with the special personalized cake with my favorite athlete. oops.
about that time i got the beagle, and bbdks advice was solicited again. being a wiseass, he suggested the name karl booker again. great name. great pup.

Not sure I'd name my dog after the 6th-7th man on a Final Four team, but you guys do you.
I think naming the dog after a player is weird. It is one thing for it to be a nickname for a player ala Gillie but another for it to just be a straight up first name.
