The "spotlight" games- Duke, Louisville, Kansas- have been 3 of our best performances of the year.

UCLA, Ohio State, and LSU were all spotlight games as well. All had big promotion from the ESPN, prime time tip offs, etc. 2 - 4 on the big stage.

UofL ain't winning a title this year.

Indiana ain't winning a title ever, as long as Crean's there.

UNC has a shot.

So does Kansas.

But no need to worry about those other two squads.

Not giving up on anything, just done stressing and talking about it all damn day...like you guys are doing now. I've seen enough to know what this team is. Doesn't mean they can't run something crazy off...wack teams do it every damn year these days.

Just not interested in breaking this teams weaknesses down ad-nauseam any more...I'm over it. Not too unlike last football season after awhile, really.

Check with me in Mid March.

This team is better than the 2013 team. That squad wouldn't have beaten Duke and Louisville

Ummm, UL/Duke is 2013 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> UL/Duke in 2016. And, that team barely lost (by 3) to #4 and eventual champ (barf) UL at the YUM, and played Duke very close. That team also beat a ranked Mississippi and a (bad) Vandy on the road. This team barely beat a mediocre UL team by 2 at home, and beat a Duke team that we now know is terrible.

So, pretty much a wash, absent the late season collapse sans Noel. In fact, that team was ranked #25 in the UF game. Will this team be ranked on 2/12? Maybe.

As for the 'spotlight' - they beat a ****** Duke, barely beat UL at home after giving away a big lead (a Calipari specialty), got smoked at UCLA, smoked by OSU, and deserved to win the KU game. If you want to count LSU as spotlight game, they got smoked in that one as well. 2-4, and I'd say we played well in 2 of those games, Duke and KU.

I think this team is better than the 2013 team (with Noel), but their performance thus far has been pretty similar. ****** with a few bright spots.

You guys enjoy your soggy bowl of uncooked cake batter.

As for me and my house, we will let the cake bake.

As underrated actor Emilio Estevez said in underrated movie Young Guns II...

William H. Bonney:"You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three Chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, 'Hey, the world's coming to an end!' and the first one says, 'Well, I best go to the mission and pray,' and the second one says, 'Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores,' and the third one says 'Well, I'm gonna finish the game.' I shall finish the game, Doc.

Really love it when dogshit SEC team is hitting crazy shots out of their collective asses, their crowd is going bonks, we are on 6 minute without a field goal drought on offense... All of this capped off by another foul on Lee that sends opposing player to line. The camera zooms in on Lee with that confused look on his face like he just shat his pants. Their crowd gets louder.

Cue Nessler..."Another foul on Lee. That's his 4th & this place is rocking. Cats in a danger zone, partner...."

Timeout. Commercial break.

ESPN really does do its best to just agitate the **** out of Billy Joe Wildcat during these SEC road circuses.

Brad: Folks, your favorite team from birth, the pride of your beloved Commonwealth, is in some kind of trouble here tonight. It's been 18 years since they, the Kentucky Wildcats, have lost in this building, and here they are now officially on the brink. It'll be some kind of win for the folks gathered here in the coliseum, partner. And Kwame Jackson, the 5th year transfer out of Delta Dick U., completes the And 1...

Hard to like Jay Williams after years of being a douche in general, and more importantly, being a douche towards UK. I know its real hip to like him, but that gaf can EADIAF. :100points:

Also, Jesus Christ Tubby.

He lands -> Williams, Durrant, Wright and Hansburrah... he's probably still coaching here. I missing anyone major?

Chris Lofton comes to mind, but Tubby may have just passed on him completely.

Also, didn't Tubby have something to do with Draymond Green going to MSU over UK?

Yeah, Lofton was a local deal. I get that one. Took Crawford over him, IIRC. Those happen. The 4 guys I listed are top 10 recruits that all were seemingly in the bag and Tubby dropped the ball on.

He missed out on Thaddeus Young around the same time of Brandan Wright.

The Wright recruitment and his comments re: Kentucky when he announced for UNC made me realize Tubby had serious issues with connecting with top recruits. Then again, Tubby was not sweating it too bad, he still had a top power forward at UK during that time. One Mr Sheray Thomas.

I went to a Nike AA camp back when Tubby was UK's head coach. Practically every big name coach in college basketball was there. Except Tubby. He had Hobbs there in his place.

Towards the end it was awful his ability to land any post players. I'm not sure if it had to do with how Randolph was handled or if he just didn't want to recruit anyone with a remote chance to burn him by going pro instead. Regardless of the problem it was unbelievable his fail rate those last 2-3 years, and if he didn't get "ran off" he would have missed Patterson too!

Thad Young and Deon Thompson that year, iirc. I thought he missed on a Memphis kid that went to UNC but I can't figure it out. May just be thinking of Thompson.

Brewer wasn't an elite recruit. I think he really developed at UF. Not blaming him for missing on every mid tier guy that blew up.

...But Hanssburrah and Williams are guys that take you from ending up at Texas Tech to UK legend. That's 7 years of the best player in ball with only minimal hyperbole.
