I'm pretty sure everyone on Floyd St tunes in to Mag52's periscoping. Even Captain Suntan, if he hasnt already passed out from his nightly dose of cheap awful domestic beer.

At times I think UK athletics is actively trolling football fans. Adding $300 K-Fund fees to those who actually decided to keep their tickets and parking after last season is, as Bill Self would say, a dick move. I get why everyones parking was moved and all that but at least be self-aware enough to not immediately jack up the price after everyone was already irritated.
It's a brilliant move. The parking lots will be full (at the beginning of ) this season like normal.

I hate to say it, but I will will reluctantly pay the extra dough and go on about my day. I do feel fairly taken advantage of though, and not in the good way. You just squeezed us for more loot last year, messed up a ton of folks tailgating spots by folks losing their parking passes, and then ended the season by shiiting the bed yet again.

But sure, my AMEX is on file so go ahead and balls deep me one more time.

Exactly.

Suntan is a vodka cranberry guy, would wager any amount on that.

KY Booze Laws Map Update:

This is a rare example of something more psychotic than the 150+ question UNC Quiz that I created in 1998, bound copies of which I have strewn all over Chapel Hill over the years.

This is much more impressive. Congrats.

My only question is: Why? I guess "why not", but with his talents/resources I could think of a million other projects besides mapping the KY liquor laws.

Yeah, I was that guy yelling "F Free World! 3-1-3!" at him. The king of Bacchus didn't seem to mind.

Awesome trip so far. WWII museum is unreal. Off to happy hour oysters and parades. #Muses

Mme Rupption is probably going to be rolling her eyes and mocking Joey behind his back after he explains the map for the billionth time to each new visitor to the home.

SAE who is doing your fireplace? If you need a second quote or anything I can hook you up.

Max I got more envelopes of cash to help your season ticket prices.

Not really sure how Willis can lose time to anyone on this team. I am a homer idiot for the guy being from Mt Washington and seeing him succeed yet still go to Bellarmine games to watch a former teammate of his at Bullitt East. That said, he will open the court for Skall just as much as he does everyone else which should only benefit Skal. Also in the post we need someone no different than Willis on the perimeter, just be f'n respected down there enough to get touches and make the defense adjust.

That's it! It's truly not too much to ask.

Go to The Players' Championship. It's in May, easier travel, better field, and #17 is still a hell of a lot of fun.

I'm sure I'll have extra passes if anyone comes down. Just let me know in advance as to what days you would go and I'll earmark what I can.

And I won't promise but I'll try to not yell f-bombs, or n-bombs and will even refrain from mocking mentally disabled kids if you want to go with us. No promises, though.

Thanks, krazy. I will do that. Probably pushing that project to the backburner for a bit though, candidly. Maybe fall. I've got a kid, motherf***er.

Lindsay Czarniak gives me a case of the hornies. When did she become the prime time SC anchor? That's a big deal. Fine though...

The liquor laws were only used because I needed an easy four-option variable to cant the faces to the cardinal points: Wet, Dry, Damp A, Damp Remainder (I forget the Damp difference), and resulted in a nice variation.

I tried mixing in a weighted average of topographic "highest points" as well, but it was too homogenous to affect anything at this scale.

Wet counties are high "on the left side," from the Latin "sinister," which we now hold as evil or bad. Dry counties are the opposite (right side high) and the Damps are what's leftover (up and down).

Also, I was struck by lightning while working construction in 2004 in Lex, so my wife is well practiced in rolling her eyes while I retell a story.

Joey, would you mind giving an estimate on what something like that would cost? I'm guessing you did some of the design/drafting/CAD work?

It is impressive.

For the BBQ foodies here, a food truck for Kinnard BBQ will be crushing it all weekend(unless he sells out) at Bardstown and Hurstbourne.

Thanks!

I would guess around $500 based on some other stuff I've seen my CNC guy do. But I'll get back to you with his real number (Maybe more / less).

EDIT: It would cost $650.

I did all of the design & modeling and handed it off. The CNC guy picked out the wood, did some CAD for fabrication, glued it up, and will be sanding chip-outs and putting on a coat of poly to finish it.

My "CNC guy" is actually an architecture professor for digital fabrication at Ohio State (with his own shop). I don't have a good price for you because he got a CNC bit company to use this project for a promotional video so they are paying for everything in exchange for photos and videos.

It is 44.25" wide, 18" tall, & 1.5" deep. But, it is not a big deal to scale it.

I don't want to clog GYERO up with my arts and crafts, so feel free to hit me up at [email protected] if you're interested in one and I'll get back to you with details.

Skimming FB, yeah I still do that from time to time, I ran across the Tiger Woods hole-in-one at the Phoenix Open highlight and it made me...incredibly sad.

I'm not some crazy fan boy, at least not anymore, but that moment and then months (the Masters) and few years following were the high water mark for my favorite non-UK bball or football sport.

For golf nerds like me, golf all the sudden wasn't so...nerdy.

And then Tiger broke down and turned out to be a dbag over time and fell off the touching map. At least a guy like Peyton is getting his last ride into sunset.

On a morality level, I guess karma is a *****...but the guy makes it fun no matter which way you cut it, rooting for or against him. Hoping to see a season where he is relevant this year.

I actually think Woods' biggest hurdle will be chipping yips and not injuries. That tells you how hard getting over chipping yips are, the hardest of all the golf yips. You can work around putting yips, can work around driver yips but chipping yips are the hardest to overcome and work around. You basically end up putting from off greens more and finding some way around it to minimize the scoring damage. And there will be damage.

Knowing him we will see him at the Masters this year but he needs a year off away from the game to get his body and head right. He's taken breaks but never the proper length break. As much as I want to see that tweet that he's playing the Master's,I really feel he should wait until next season.

One would think he can work around the yips enough to get 4 more PGA Tour wins to break Snead's record but I think he's done winning majors. I hope I'm wrong and we get one more major ride but I can't see him doing it with the yips. I hold out hope that maybe, just maybe he doesnt have the yips and it was caused by bad back, nerves or technique change, but I truly think he has them and the chipping yips are bad, bad news and will ultimately keep majors at bay.

From CBS:

  • Another player on the rise: Kentucky point guard Tyler Ulis. Ulis is a gamer, pure and simple. He's a competitor who acts like a coach on the floor despite his youth. He plays angry and with attitude, but he's also poised and collected. He knows when to go out and get his own shot just as well as when to try and get everyone involved in the offense. Basically, despite his size, Ulis is just one of those players that NBA guys are going to want to go to battle with. That's why he's No. 26 on this board. Again, my guess is that a team falls in love with him whenever he declares and picks him higher than expected.

-Just going out on a limb here and saying, the 87 back and knee surgeries are a little more concerning for Tiger's career than his wedges.

-Joey is a weird dude.

Word around town (message boards) is we have a new Wildcat logo for at least some of the football helmets. Guy on HOB said it was reminiscent of the K-State logo.

Can't wait to see what terrible threads they trot out [sick]

Mike White...random SEC West white guy who was a thorn in our side in the late 90s.

Hornsby kid will haunt us again in 20 years. TS. Can't say the same for Marshall Henderson tho.
