A 17 point comeback sounds awfully familiar, can't put my finger on it, but its familiar.

Nice to get some fresh blood in here to break up the old Gyerohenpeck.

But yeah, don't be complaining about college girl panty parties.
I mean I'm certainly not complaining about it. I also think the whole "panty party" thing is getting overstated. The only girls in panties was a pretty small, slutty minority.

Yet to hear ONE UL fan show any outrage that you know, prostitutes were conducting business on campus in the men's bball dormitory with recruits & players that will result in major NCAA violations. Nope. UL is just a victim here. That's the outrage.

Oh, and how dare UL be put in this tough and awful position to ban itself from postseason play without knowing any of the forthcoming information from the NCAA?

WHAT FNG UNIVERSE DO THESE PEOPLE LIVE IN?

Jim Valvano used his terminal cancer to create awareness and raise millions of dollars for future victims. His brother uses it as a means to exonerate Louisville from a prostitution scandal.

Someone elaborate a bit on what he said. TIA, SIAP, IMO, TBH.

As you become an upper classman, house parties can get a little tired. It seems more exciting to hit the bars, do the older thing. Trust me, I understand the natural progression of things. Next you'll be buying Porsche's, hot tubs, and boats. Wisking little honeys away for exotic vacations. Telling stories with old friends and talking over those who went to small boring schools. And that is all awesome too. But none of it will ever be as easy or cheap as those college panty parties.

Cherish them, for one day you may be old and bitter, like Anth.

He has basically said numerous times since the scandal broke that there is a study that shows two years after a traumatic event your chances of cancer are elevated from the stress of said event.

Jim went through a NCAA investigation and then two years later got cancer.

The people who park their canoes in the front lawn and still have their inflatable Christmas snoopy in the yard just got a new hot tub in their car port. What's the official ruling on a hot tub in the car port?

Looks like a lot of you are putting the cart before the horse... guess you didnt hear that UL fans have signed an injunction that prohibits anyone from making any decisions. They'll be BACK IN the big dance come Selection Sunday.

Bob believes the NCAA gave Jim cancer. Yet he continues to work in broadcasting NCAA games and commenting on NCAA programs to this day.

seems legit

I would give my left nut to go to a college fraternity house party this coming weekend, true story. Perhaps I can even pretend I'm not married at said party. Perhaps I would be in my early 20's, without a care in the world. Hangovers would last about 2 hours, until noon, or until my first bong rip and retelling of stories from the night before while playing NCAA football on the playstation with my buddies. Or perhaps I'm just an old shadow of myself, constantly tired and stressed out, longing for the days where my tendons wouldn't randomly explode after playing basketball for 10 minutes.

Don't they have a backyard? I'd say that is pretty terrible.

Probably won't be buying any hot tubs.

Yea, they have a nice big flat one. I guess they just like to show off their possessions. The big yellow and green Coleman canoes take the cake. It's a good sight.

It makes it so much sweeter that they are still in denial. Some of them seem to think that there is a possibility this decision will be reversed.

To wit, my uncle, a tremendous UofL honk:

I still feel unless they found something much worse than what we already know, there isn't that much there that requires significant punishment. So far there appears to be no vast network of uncontrolled boosters, no cars or homes or gifts for players or parents, no intentional disregard of institutional controls, no lying to the NCAA, etc. Even though a rule or rules may have been broken, we have done all the right things, we have moved quickly and severely... Everything they supposedly want schools to do in this stupid report yourself system.

If they come down hard on us for this, then they just used us to set a future precedent.

The problem is they couldn’t tell me anything. They said, “We’ve got information that is going to lead us to make a decision to put a postseason ban on this team.” I just put my head into my hands. I asked, “When did this come about?” Chuck Smrt interrupted and said, “You haven’t been interviewed yet, so we can’t tell you anything.”

HOFCRP seemingly has no clue that he's being treated as if he was involved in these violations. If this were a criminal case, he'd be the guy who is acting like he was the victim of a crime, but in actuality, the police are investigating and preparing to charge him with a crime.

Pitino = There's this guy I know who's been talking **** to my girl. I went to his house one night. I knocked on the door but I know he was just hiding inside because he's a *****. The door was unlocked so I went inside to scare some sense into him. I wasn't really going to do anything, obviously. Like any man would do I told him I was going to make sure he left her alone, and I showed him the unloaded gun I had in my waistband. I was just getting ready to turn around and leave and, unbelievably, this guy pulled a knife and stabbed me. Yeah, I'm the one who called you guys. Why are you surprised? You need to arrest this ******* for stabbing me. I can't believe he thinks he can talk **** and stab me and get away with it.

Cops = M'kay. Sure, yeah, you're under arrest for Burglary 1st. Best get a lawyer, bud. You're looking at 10-20.

Pitino = :eek:

New GYERO 1000 pages = 40,000 posts.
Old GYERO 1000 pages = 50,000 posts.

Still 9,500+ replies short of a true GYEROMAN 1000 pages

Weekend Randoms

-Pretty much had same weekend as Yung Shoots minus the panty party, tragically I work nights at UPS so my Friday nights usually consist of loading people's ish into airplanes. So no panty party for me.

-Second time I've ever been to Nashville. Pretty dope town. Really want to make a trip down there for the SECT one day, just haven't been able to make it happen yet. NHL game was solid, don't know a damn thing about hockey or the Predators but had about 12 or 13 pops in me and it looked somewhat like a sport so I had a good time.

-You guys ever have any experiences with the ticket scalpers in Nashville? Dude's will not even attempt to work with you on a price. Was down for the UK/Vandy football game a few months ago, guy would not budge on $40 a ticket. Unreal. Needless to say we just ended up at Tin Roof for that one, probably the best decision in hindsight. Same thing this weekend, although I didn't really care to splurge a little on a ticket being that I had never been to a hockey game before.

-Happy Peyton got a second SB. Weird that three childhood heroes are all calling it quits all of a sudden (Jeter, Kobe, Peyton). Grew up mimicking those guys in the driveway/backyard, will be weird not watching them anymore.

-This is the time of year where the golf bug really starts to bite me. Really sucks because I know we have at least another 2 months before I can really start playing regularly. Incredible golf tourney yesterday too, Matsuyama/Fowler going at it, both of those guys can absolutely ball. Been itching to get back out after watching that. NCAAT/Masters time needs to hurry its *** up and get here.

-Is there a worse drive in Kentucky than Bluegrass Pkwy from Lex to E-town? Just an unbearably boring drive that seems to never end.

Lou --> Cincy [sick]

Dunno why, but I'd rather drive RT to Lex than make a one way on 71.
