Actually, correction - the majority of "hedge fund guys" are investing just their own/daddy's money and are completely full of ****. Basically glorified Etrade day traders.

But the vast majority of real, have $1B+ of others people's money hedge fund guys are complete dorks with highly limited social skills.

There have been a bunch of Ibanker/HF/Trader shows, and they all seem to fail miserably. My guess is that it works in a movie because over the course of 2 hours you can just make audiences go WOW at all the excesses and assholery, and kinda blow past the boring details - or just make **** up that could never, ever happen (Boiler Room).

But over the course of a season of TV, you can't really do that, and there's little to no compelling drama. Legal shows have court battles, medical shows have docs saving people's lives, so there's plenty of drama to weave around the soap opera ****. In a finance show? Meh. Hey, we made some money today cause stocks went up, oh no we lost a lot of money because the Euro tanked! Not really all that interesting to the public.

Tomorrow I'm meeting with the CFO of Facebook, and I won't have anything to post about it, because the details would be boring as **** to all of you. The LNKD meeting could be interesting, but only because someone might assault the CFO.

^well a part of the show is the U.S. Attorney, played by Paul Giamatti, and SEC going after these guys and the relationships between all of them.

Controversial take:

If you really hate Louisville, you root for them to win the rest of their games and win the ACC regular season championship. There is no way the school can publicly acknowledge it after the decision they made Friday. And if the UL fans bring it up well.....if they get embarrassed easily they won't. And it looks bad for the ACC.

How can one person be wrong this often without doing it intentionally? I mean you almost have to be trying some Marc Maggard "wrong on purpose" **** to have this many terrible takes. (Rhetorical question. Please don't respond.)

"Louisville is a bunch of wounded warriors who have been wronged. I think they should dedicate the remainder of the season to the Wounded Warrior Project, raise money at the remaining home games and then have Damien and Trey take a check to the VA hospital and to present to the fallen heroes at the end of the season. It would be a great learning lesson to these kids that there are worse things in the world. Lloyd (Gardner) what do you think of that idea?"

What is RP thinking going on Mike and Mike like this? I guess sometimes when your directly involved in wrong doing you can't see how obvious your actions are to the world(at least the ones that care).

So their strategy is reach a national news level before Katina breaks some news on a more local level to make her seem bitter and revengeful?

Those people are truly a different breed.

TOMMA JURICH TITTY MAN left out of the decision to self-impose the ban, per HOFCRP.

Also took 7 minutes to mention 9/11.

Listening to Jones' podcast with Meiners and Vanetti and a Jones Vanetti show would have been terrific. They have quite a bit of chemistry. It's funny that Jurich would not let this happen and resulted into Matt going solo and making a statewide radio empire that is solely pro UK. Really glad that backfired on him.

Late, but [laughing][roll][laughing] @ 'Bern Your Enthusiasm'

Larry David is so brilliant, that could have been any regular episode. GOAT.

...props to the SNL cast as well, they *nailed* every single character, especially Suzie, Leon, and Funkhouser.

That was fantastic.

It was fantastic. I think I've watched 10 times. Man I wish they could pull one more season out of Larry.

I've been going back through the entire series whenever we travel...it's such a damn good show. I'll be watching it over and over until I die, it seriously never gets old.

Spot on.

Meiners and Vanetti still in denial from the podcast. Claim no others at Louisville knew and that McGee got his hooker $ from the Barber Shop crew [laughing]

It's nauseating listening to Pitino and the UL fanbase bellyache about the NCAA hurting players that don't have anything to do with the situation while they have imposed this penalty on THEMSELVES.

You understand the difference between throwing something out there to discuss and stating this is what I believe, don't you? I'm guessing no.

I'm sure. But I think, or hope, they got the lifestyle of the hedge fund guys right. The last episode opened with a drunk hedge fund guy trying to mow down deer with a machine gun at 4:30am in the back yard of his Greenwich home.

Sounds more like a show about ex military guys who love hot tubs and boats. The scene would have been better if said guy was rapid firing at deer from his hot tub.

The decline of the US economy is directly tied to the rise of the level of cheesedick in the financial sector.

Read that on Bloomberg, actually.

Ball was fun...only had 9 b/c at least 5 dbags backed out last minute.

Ran 4 on 4 full, and it actually worked out well. The difference between week 1 and week 2 was palpable...for me at least, in terms of not feeling like I was about to die.

Still worthless & DUN by the last game -- literally fell down or lost the ball any time I tried to do anything. Sweet floor burn as a souvenir, ***** burns like a mother in the shower.

Should have our biggest crew yet next week -- be cool if you guys would actually show up once you commit. I don't care about your busy & changing schedules, Thx.

It's a great little deal to have & look forward to on otherwise-****** Mondays, nice way to start off a week -- hope we can keep it up for years.

Have you heard of the "anti-benchmark boutique," TOBAM?

My buddy (cousin's husband) manages stuff there, I guess. He is a righteous dude, in all honesty.
