I didn't get a chance to respond the other day, but kudos to whoever brought up Anth and Idol hour country club. I got a big chuckle.
Can you imagine him at the IHCC bar talking to those chaps about his lowered Monte Carlo he had in highschool. And then Sloot rolls in with her sunbrella like Scarlet O'Hara.
Yep I can definitely see IHCC recruiting them hard. No doubt.

Prolly had a sweet AC system though.

Maybe it was like with the Dazon Ingram announcement, Anth pulled out the IHCC hat but there was no offer.

-1st car didn't have a/c.

-There's not an offer or interest on my part. Want nothing to do with a place like that. If I had something small but with amenities like an old school Mad-ville CC in my backyard, I'd be all over it. Just not into golf right now, nor will I ever be consistently enough to justify the cost.

-Yeah that Oaks outfit is close but the derby one is classic.

Tuesday of Derby Week Randoms:

- For derby I'm rolling poplin suit, fedora, and was thinking about rolling with my cordovan wingtips but not so sure about that now. Not sure on tie yet.

- Derby is the best day of the week and you are a moron if you disagree. The other days happen because of Derby.

- Spent the first four years of my life in Paducah, and Derby was always a mainstay in my family. It's definitely better as you get closer to horse country though.

- Bloody mary for breakfast is a damned good way to start off Derby day. Can't go through the day without a couple of Juleps either but beer is the primary fuel.

- Derby lunch for me will be a hotdog and some other form of disgusting track food with a beer.

- Need to finalize my playlist for Saturday. Always a contentious, yet important part of the day.

Andover is having a Steak and Stogie night with a bourbon tasting this week. Pretty nice little recruiting trip. Must say I am intrigued.

Dortmund -> Mubtaahij -> Materiality are my main three depending on where they draw. If I'm picking 6-8 then throw in International Star, AP, Frosted and Carpe Diem. Always bet the 13 horse regardless. If that sucker hits you'll be able to hear the Schem's in Lexington. So there ya go.

Damn, the Orioles postponed today's game and tomorrow will be played in private, closed to the public?

Has that ever happened before?

- Heading out to Churchill on Thursday with work. We have a table on the 4th floor. Gonna keep it PC for a few hours then cut loose over to the 3rd floor Clubhouse.

Go out for a few casuals on Thursday evening.

No plans for Friday. Get some yardwork
done and then soak in the Oaks coverage.

Having people over on Derby. Fire up the grill and place some bets.

P Club party on Derby Night. Best party in town for locals and a few celebs/athletes always come through and mix it up on the dance floor. Gets wild.

For the track on Thursday... Red seer sucker pants, white butterfly collar dress shirt with cuff links, blue blazer and blue Hermes tie with horse bits. Loafs are being shined.

- Let's not call it Thurby. Sounds awful.

- One or two Mint Julips all wknd. Riding the domesto marathon is the smart play.

- Watch Uber this wknd. Huge rate surcharge. May be better off cabbing it.

- The buzz starts to engulf this town tomorrow morning onward and it's unlike anything else.

Seems like I remember a small conference basketball tournament that played in empty arenas because of rampant flu outbreaks or something. Maybe Sienna was the winner of it?

Sorry, Anth. Feel free to use these 4 however you'd like:

Pharoah, Dortmund, Firing Line, Mubtaahij.

As far as the horses you've listed, I understand that Materiality doesn't look as sharp now as he did earlier. Carpe Diem is high strung and could wash out prior to loading. Bet at your own risk.

Puca for a little bit of a price for the Oaks.

RIchie, did you write this?

It is an extension of each member’s home. It is purely a social organization. It is not a businessman’s club. It has no business except to serve its members. It knows nothing of politics or religion except that its members may or may not be of one persuasion or another.

No one has a right to be a member. Membership is not hereditary, nor is there such thing as a corporate membership, to be passed from one holding a corporate office for the time being to the one who succeeds him.

The Pendennis Club is a gathering of friends, where decency, decorum, civility, good manners and the social graces are still very much in style.

Herein we shall look back to see what has been and what others have said of the Pendennis Club; we shall examine the present; and we shall look forward with confidence to a future in which, a hundred years hence, the Pendennis Club will be much as it is today and as it was a hundred years ago, a pleasant place to be with one’s friends.

Past two Derby weekends I've had great experiences with Uber. Both Oaks / Derby didn't wait more than 10 minutes for a ride. Probably because they bring in drivers from Chicago to Nashville to bolster their inventory here.

Sure they charge 2.5x the normal rate; so does Mohammed and I don't have to put up with the smell...if he one even rolls through.

Yeah, I don't mind the surge on weekends such as Derby. It's when I get bombed on a mid-April Saturday that pisses me off.

Not all nice environments are uppity.

Grown men that respond like spazzed out 16 year old prom queens screaming in all caps are definitely uppity.

-The P-Club has extended offers several times. No thanks. I have a house that I can workout, drink and talk to people in. Seem like good dudes though. Again, If I played a ton of golf and lived close(like a golf cart ride to) I'd consider it. Thought about it for a few months back when I was playing weekly but could never justify the expense and the drinking and driving regularly. I can't get a DUI, period, so why do something that will have me driving home on 2-3 beers a couple times per week, cost me a ton of money and revolve around a game I really only casually enjoy?

-Took a cab in Chicago, Asian driver, it smelled so awful I had the window down at 44 degrees and rain. Can't even explain the funk smell. Like rotten sweaty *** sewage. I'll take Uber and Lyft forever. Touch that noise.

-This weather, tho. Friday 72, partly cloudy no rain. Saturday 75, SUNNY. Mercy.

-Idol :D What a f*cking imbecile.

-Can we do something about the emoticons? Ridiculous.

If you would have told me a month ago that all 7 players were leaving, I would have assumed we'd pick up at least 2 or 3 more uncommitted five stars from the 2015 class.

But ZERO? How the f ck is that even possible?

.

If you had 2-3 beers over a two hour period, at 200 lbs, you would not be legally impaired. There are apps and even breathalizers you can get if you're really worried about it.

Jeez, some serious alcohol issues at your house.

Well, add Kansas to the top contenders. They have good guards and a bunch of wings. All they needed was a good, physical big.
