UK football has routinely been called the best job in college football because of the low fan expectations. I haven't really heard him ***** about the fans, though, just NIL. If he is bitching about our fans after the way he was treated by TAMU fans in the 4 hour window that they thought he was their next coach, then he's just delusional.
NIL is not the problem he thinks it is though. The roster is pretty stacked, and has been for the last 5-6 years. We put plenty of dudes into the NFL. It's at least as good as, and probably better than South Carolina's. The problem is discipline and execution. We had a higher success rate than USC on Saturday, by the way. We just had too many missed blocking assignments, blown coverages, penalties and turnovers, all of which resulted in huge plays. Same story for the last 5 years. Even in 2021. Pretty sure we led the nation in turnovers that year, but had the talent to overcome it. The talent is probably maxed out here, I don't really see how it gets better than this at UK. The problem is how the talent is coached.
The talent is good enough to regularly beat the non cons, Vandy, Florida, USC, MIssouri, Miss State, and the random SEC power having a down year. And it should be good enough to sneak up and beat a big boy on occasion, but that will take a good, well executed game plan, some risks that pan out, and maybe a lil luck (which favors the prepared). We ain't getting those under CMS.
