What a hell of a win. 😃

Man, starting to get worried about Butler (and beyond worried with Carr). Pope's "if and when we get him back" sounds ominous.

On this fine evening, I recall in 2009, when I was a junior at Milligan College, a senior Vol fan bet me that the Cats would lose at Thompson-Boling. I said nope, when the Cats win, I get a dollar for every point of our best scorer. Obviously he was attempting to score something other than dollars, but since Meeks went bananas, I won the bet. MF wouldn’t pay up. I’m about to Venmo request his ***** *** the $54 he still owes me for Jodie Meeks making it rain.

Should I have let this go by now? Yes. Will I? Absolutely not.

We just have several key stretches of 4-5-6 rebounds in a row that always end in a 3.

That said, rebounds ended 35-35. Ultimately that’s a huge win vs UT. But yes, those few sequences are killers for us, gotta shore that up.

We played tough as F overall tho, so figure out a way to not be pissed about this +10.5 win down 2 starters on the road Wayne, you gigantic *****

I’d charge that MF’er interest

Robinson and Almonor had ball games tonight fellas.

Someone talked about how this team plays soft, and that is certainly true at times, but tonight was just a tough gritty win. No PG 1 or 2. Starting 4 played barely at all, and we managed that game extremely well.

The number of high level games we have won this year is beyond what I could have imagined. And, as much as I'd love to get rewarded for it, I know we'll get screwed in the seeding.

Edit : We don't talk enough about the calming effect Pope has from the sidelines. Near the end of the game Amari loses a rebound that appears to clearly go off of a UT player and we don't get the call. They cut to Pope and he's clapping and yelling instructions about how to defend the OOB. Cal would have been at the scorers table yelling at the ref as if the call was going to change.

Truth be told our gritty players did play though. Noah, Almonor, Oweh and Williams/Garrison are tough.

Not to knock Robinson or Brea as shooters aren’t supposed to be tough but even tonight they didn’t shy away.

Props to Chandler too! By far his best contribution even though the stat line doesn’t show it.

GD I love this team. So different than some others and hard to explain but I appreciate this season and group more than I have some of my favorites that came through here.

Great win!! Especially without Butler and Carr.

Have to hit free throws, leaving too many points on the court. Will come back to haunt us if it continues.

Have to grab rebounds and get rid of the damn butter fingers. Lost several critical rebounds because of dick fingers.

Still not playing defense with consistency. Too many open shots (38). Can’t have that many.

Good to see others stepping up when needed. Gutsy, tough win over the “nothing sucks like a big orange.” Geez, I hate them with a passion!!

@vern....I told you Brea isn't getting to the line. 5 FTA in his last 13 games. Maybe the most one dimensional player UK has had since Swoop (RIP) who didn't make a shot outside of 2 feet. Counting this year, he has 576 FGA in 3 seasons, and been to the line 33 times. Unheard of.
Well, taint breath, looks like Brea took my advice tonight. The result? 18 points including 5-7 from the line en route to victory over the Vols on Rocky Top. That's 3 straight in Knoxville, each a top 10 win. Now I get to enjoy your ***** *** Heels losing yet again. What a catastrophe!

Someone check on Mark Hollingsworth. It’s dire

Last tweet was something about us living & dying with Pope’s 3 philosophy, despite UT shooting twice as many.

Wanted to ask him about Brea, arguably one of the worst 7th men in NCAAB, but I’m blocked.

Go Heels! Wish there was a juicy NIT Future, bc I actually think they can win it if Hubes doesn’t decline the invite. Guard play wins in March.

Bless your heart....Bob Cousy needs to be worried now, right?

You peel off your Harris/Walz bumper sticker yet?
