For the four regional sites, they have three being played in what you could call traditional basketball arenas, and one being played in an indoor football stadium. Why?

-Indy f*cking owes us. We all sold our souls and did some vile and depraved **** during that UL/UM weekend. But that is in the past and we have atoned.

-Monthly reminder that coffee is amazing and I love it... so much.

-Big time Major Baseball off to a rocky 0-3 start. Not good. Lot of unearned runs out there. Looking for a live chicken to sacrifice before next game.

-Weather is trying to break out. Just needs a little nudge.

-Those headed to Indy, it's the coldest place on earth, and I'm sure it'll be freezing with it's normal 45mph winds. Just a gray concrete nothingness. Patachou for breakfast though.

-The Mist!!

I'm of two minds when it comes to other SEC squads this year. On the one hand, I hope every single one of them loses by 100 at the first available opportunity. However, this year I feel like our run won't get the proper respect if the SEC lays down in the tournament. Thus far, the SEC actually did what it was supposed to in the tournament for a change.

I wouldn't mind seeing 3 SEC teams in the Final Four, tbh, especially if BYU beats Bama. I've grown to hate Bama -- and not just because of the stupid candy stripe ceiling in their rinky-dink gym.

Did Sat/Sun at the Masters last year everything you imagine it is it is more. Also most efficient event by a mile Ive ever attended. Someone shanked into the pine needles and I just happen to be crossing a fairway looked up and I was the only one standing by the ball. A half minute later I am surrounded by people and feet away from Tiger. Amazing place.

Enjoy Augusta. Went couple years ago to the third round (Saturday) when Tiger came back from injury and made the cut. Incredible experience I will always remember. I'm a diehard, but I think I would skip any UK sporting event to attend The Masters.

I cannot fathom some of the reasoning of the talking heads this week.

Medcalf picks UT because, for some reason, Jaxson Robinson scored 17 in one game and he's unavailable.

Hummel and Goodman picked UT because it's hard to beat a team 3 times and UT plays great defense (while also admitting we've owned their defense and have been playing well defensively ourselves).

The pressure on big orange is going to be tremendous.

"According to STATS LLC., there have been 981 similar matchups across Division I college basketball over the past 10 seasons. The teams entering the third game 2-0 are a combined 710-271 (.724 winning percentage) in the 3rd meeting.”

We could have played that 2014 FLA team 100x and we weren’t beating them. Was so happy they lost to UConn in the F4. And then we choked in the final anyhow.

But did you know that whenever two famous people die a third is close behind?

This guys entire timeline is him discussing the over inflation of balls in the tournament leading to poor shooting percentages and low scoring games. Based on practice footage he predicted Cleveland, Milwaukee, and Providence had the most over inflated balls and all three were 5-1 hitting the under.

How can he tell whether the ball is inflated?

Given Pope’s charisma and ability to relate how many years of not winning #9 will it take before fans start to turn on him?

He is the guy hands down and I believe he will win a couple here, but as time goes on if he doesn’t at some point pressure starts to mount.

Well in his first year filled with injuries we beat more teams ranked in the top 15 than any program in NCAA history and beat the **** out of our first two opponents on the way to the sweet sixteen so I think he’ll be fine

That isn’t the point, I agree completely, but I’m just curious.

People started getting salty with Pitino after the 1993 run when we were knocked out by Marquette in 94 and UNC in 95.

I realize Coach K made 3 F4’s before finally winning a title after 11 seasons, but it still took 11 years even for him.

How paranoid are we as a fanbase that we're spending time, during March and a sweet 16 run, talking about our coaches old school's success and how long it will take to turn on our brand new coach if he doesn't win a chip in 3 years?

Tighten the **** up lads, we're still in it this year.

Oh yes paranoia, despite a poster in this thread already in year one passive aggressively taking jabs at the brand new guy.

I’ve heard several UK fans say they don’t think Pope is the guy because he is the Hal Mumme of basketball.

Personally I’m just curious. For me I’d say given that I believe we’ll be regular S16 and E8 caliber it’s going to be year 12-15 if we don’t pull #9.

There are just too many variables to even consider that question.

Reminds me of sitting in NOLA on the first Monday in April 2012, pregaming before #8, and my buddy's 20-something kid would not stop talking about our chances to land Nerlens AND Shabazz Muhammad as recruits.

"Man, we might be GREAT next year!"

I mean, who tf cares right now. Let's just go ahead and moot that question, over the next 11 days.
