A master course in the use of the F bomb for sure, but I still give Knight's halftime Purdue speech a slight edge above this one.
Bonus points for Elia being a direct frontal assault on the Cubs fans... and it came only a couple of weeks into the season. LOL

Knight was an epic one, but it was directed to the team in the locker room and not intended for public consumption.

Smoked a 15lb brisket for a boating & beach weekend. Salt, pepper, oak chunks, time. Smells immaculate. Zero calories too. Breaking out my new summer terry cloth loungewear & douchebaggery. IDGAF.

Montecristos, Fortaleza… profit.

Yanks v Cubs…. Leggo.

Has Wayne figured out the new CatPaw? Want to set our little August throwdown. 🙂 …or at least have a drink. (8/12-16) join me at the Elwood. Coming down to see my son gets his Pharma “white coat”.

I dont post on the political forum all day every day and never have. I was making fun of those that do as it looked like they were losing their life's work, but alas they are back at the mindless drivel. You clearly either did post there or wanted to but were in the minority and huffed away, hence the anger towards people that post there. You appear to be what you are accusing me of, but that's par for the course these days so I just laugh at it.

Please step in front of a moving bus. I'd be glad to help you.

• Got to catch a little of the Yankees-Dodgers 30 for 30 for the first time. ESPN sucks overall these days, but most of those 30 for 30’s are 🔥. Steinbrenner, Billy Martin and Reggie Jackson. Makes me even more sick of the sanitized coach speak, political correctness of today’s media, coaches and players.
Steinbrenner was Jerry Jones, but was much meaner with higher expectations. Martin was mostly drunk or hungover and ready to fist fight at any moment. He and Jackson were like oil and water.
As a youngster I don’t remember the whole Garvey-Sutton feud, but give me more of that in my sports locker rooms.
• Love/hate relationship with summer. Working in the heat isn’t great, but it toughens you up and gives you resolve. What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger and what not. I’m pretty sure it’s why our forefathers looked 60 when they were 32 and died young. It makes you appreciate Mr. Carrier for his great invention and whoever came up with the idea of indoor plumbing and showers.
• I know “real” GYEROMEN don’t mow their own lawns, but I still can’t bring myself to pay someone to do it. I want it done how and when I want it. Landscaping businesses have to be going non stop because of the amount of and frequency of rain this summer. Grass is on steroids.
• The love part- Long days, Lake and Pool Days (That’s the title of a still unwritten, terrible bro country song probably) Got caught by a torrential rain storm on our way in on the boat yesterday. I literally couldn’t see in front of me and the rain felt like needles hitting my skin. No lightning or anything like that so I just told my wife and kids that it just makes for a better memory. Speaking of, Gonna have to make a decision on a newer, nicer and more powerful boat before next boating season. Stuck between YOLO and really wanting to retire securely in a few years. The devil on one shoulder whispering in my ear and Dave Ramsey on the other shoulder.
• Sorry so long, but it’s kind of slow. I would like to reiterate my appreciation to this thread. When I first started reading it years ago I thought that this is the biggest bunch of egotistical Aholes on the planet, until I got the shtick. Well, it’s a shtick to most (I think).

Wow, still just a sensitive as always. Funny you call her names while banging on her for the same ****.
-<——let’s out huge sigh, huuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh. Okay let’s not turn the new GYERO until the old with tit-for-tat insults and inanity that just clogs up pages with two dudes having an internet pissing contest.

This is the last I’ll mention it. It was a guy not a female, first off, so already you’re speaking on something about which you’re clueless. Secondly, I would call that dude a hoe to his face for what he did. I HIGHLY doubt he would walk around public calling gay people “f” bombs, so no it’s not the same thing, at all.

-You do realize you can be juiced to the gills and have a “normal” physique too right? Hate to break it to some, but most pros are all still doing “illegal” PEDs whether it’s HgH, SARMs, off-season “treatments” overseas, etc. They’re just not banging 3 grams of Tren/week along with 20 IUs/day HgH like the guys in the early aughts.

A lot of it is more for recovery these days I would guess.

-Saw Superman with the Florida family yesterday. It was fine, worth seeing for a comic book movie. Nothing insanely “woke” (I loathe that word) unless I missed something in the past 4 decades about Superman not helping the poor, downtrodden, underdogs of the world. Pretty sure that’s what he’s always done.

-Process of waiting for interviews for FFing jobs is exhausting. I guess it’s more that I’m used to picking the bar I want to work at, walking in with 15+ years of pretty stellar high volume/craft cocktail experience on a great looking resume (most walk in with no pen or resume) and being hired on the spot.

-Hit the St Pete “Second Saturday Art Walk” with the woman this weekend. Nothing much better for this guy than walking around different galleries and viewings checking out local artists do their thing while snacking on charcuterie boards while she enjoys a glass of wine.

One “gallery” is Overspray Art where they have the artists’ original paintings inside and outside on plywood hanging on a fence they make huge replicas of those pieces with spray paint, pretty incredible.

Would have to think the majority of PEDS involve recovery and maintaining, no? I mean how do you explain Lebron? To your point, I think Wimbledon champ Sinner is a string bean but has already been outed for his use.

Stewart Mandel of The Athletic,
"On Thursday, the new College Sports Commission said, NIL collectives are not a valid business and their deals won't be approved.
On Friday, the plaintiff attorneys in House came back and said, hold on there, that violates the settlement. We're only 11 days in to this thing."

NIL will be a mess. Deloitte, I believe has to approve all deals and affirm they are market value. So, no more Huber throwing $500k for Bully McCall to ride one of his zero turn scooter.

The dog days of summer.

Oh boy, I can see this not ending well. Better get a little thicker skin if you plan on running around in these parts. Or, get thinner skin and GTFO. Your choice,,,,, for now.

Lol I've been posting here on these board for practically 20 years now and have probably been posting in this topic on and off for a decade or so. I'm not gonna derail things any further Catsfan2025 (cool name btw 🤩), but I'm going to call out offensive **** when I see it.

Guess they took my old username since it keeps telling me it’s not available. 🙄

So I’ll just leave a reminder with the last 4 letters and symbols. Since this site runs like one from the dial up days, I doubt anyone will notice.

How many times have we done this??

* I turned 70 this month. It is so weird. People have told me that at some point you start to feel old, but so far I’m not there yet. Of course, there are aches and pains and I’ve had a hip replacement, but in my head, I still feel like the same young person I always was.

I don’t care if someone is on my lawn, & I like all kinds of music and movies and TV shows. I find so much humor in life and people. I don’t understand how someone gets sour and refuses to experience life or to read and learn. I hope I never get there. The one telltale sign that I’m an old lady is an embarrassing love for Hallmark Christmas movies! 😬

I can tell by the genuine surprise on people’s faces when they learn my age that I really don’t look 70. They say oh you look so much younger than that, not that I look good, lol! It seems that the one blessing of fat is that it keeps wrinkles at bay! Maybe that bodes well for staying alive a while longer.

* Speaking of age, working in a hospital, I see so many people every day and the range of peoples’ looks vs their age is astonishing. People in their late 80s and even early 90s that look so much younger, and are active and healthy. Then I see someone that I’m sure is in their 80s etc that is actually many years younger. I’m actually beginning to wonder despite all we do to stay young and healthy, if the biggest modifier of how one ages is simply winning the genetic lottery. I’m sure the health conscious here will disagree.

* My little patio garden is thriving. Already tons of tomatoes and peppers and my herbs are doing well, but I am having a terrible time with all my plants that need pollination. Only a couple of yellow squash, one zucchini and one cucumber so far.

I have planted wildflowers in pots around and have other potted flowers too, but I can’t seem to attract enough bees. If anyone has any bee attraction tips, please share!

* Love this thread and all these Wildcat friends. I have been lurking and posting here 20 years. Looking forward to 20 more! Also ready for fall and football time in the Bluegrass!

<——-Old, but still getting after it! 😎

Some days are better than others, but don’t ever slow down. Keep moving, even if it hurts, the alternative is always worse. Sucks being the only one of your older friends that can still walk miles hunting morels and other mushrooms. Even fishing is too much for a lot of them.

So, Trump, Whoopi, and Hawk Tua walk into a bar....

UK TBT vs your KY Wildcats, will anything be gleaned from that scrimmage? Is the rust off Chandler yet? How well will we shoot it?

Craving some belly clams right now.
