Am I being neurotic or does all of the Tyran Stokes stuff seem like a ploy to ultimately pick Louisville and make Pope look bad in the process? I'll completely change my tune if he ends up coming here but he seems to have enough Louisville Man in him to do something like that.
On my Fowler kick, finished 64th on Fed Ex which qualifies him for top 70. Exemptions saved him big time.

What is "all the Tyran Stokes stuff"?
I read a while back that he was a UL lean. Recently Jack Pilgrim said UK is in the lead and everyone else is fighting for 2nd. I haven't seen anyone else confirm that though. Sleepers guys seemed surprised by Pilgrim's report. His ducking the smoke comment sounds good for UL, but could be nothing, or trolling UL. None of that sounds like a ploy to make Pope look bad, to me. Is there something else I'm missing (probably)?
Went back and watched the A&M vs Bama highlights from 2021. Calzada was on fire. In the comments, A&M fans indicated he sucked outside of that game. But for a night, he was on top of the college football world. Heck of a game and atmosphere. Maybe he has a couple more in him. Or maybe he'll be the backup for Cutter Boley Chinos.

Hasn’t just been Pilgrim on Stokes. Sisk said the same thing as did ON3 national guy. Believe Branham also reported UK in a good spot.
I'm ambivalent about any freshman these days. If we land Stokes ---> great. If we don't, I don't particularly care.
That said, I am confident that Pope can recruit who he wants here, including superstar freshmen. Not sure why cricket is bringing LDE about Stokes.

Pope said the same "not ducking the smoke" well before Kelsey did. Pope said the same thing in March, Kelsey in July. The part that scares me is him saying he wants to be able to go watch a good baseball and football team. UGH, good on the baseball, but football ? Stoops gonna cost us Stokes,,,, I kid, I kid,,,, sorta.

Birthday weekend started ringing the cowbell at Baptist. Hoping that is all for a long, long time.
Spent the evening catching a show at Ludlow Garage. Attempted to have dinner beforehand with a bunch of friends on the rooftop of Gaslight Bar across the street, but the place was so understaffed and overwhelmed, we never got our food and left. The poor girl trying up there ended up running to the kitchen in tears knowing she wasn't making a dime that night. I
Sheila E was okay. At upstars at LUdlow afterwards with a large group and somebody paid my tab. Wish I'd ordered more.
The prize for me on the weekend was Blackberry Smoke and Mike Campbell & the Dirty Knobs in Columbus. 2 great sets, and they all finished up together on stage doing a 5-song Tom Petty tribute encore. Honey Bee and Runnin' Down a Dream were incredible.

I keep hitting "Forums" and ending up at the main board for all the schools or something. Seems like "Forums" should take you to, you know, forums on this board but "Cats Illustrated" it is.
I read on3 about every day even before the merger but it always irked me it is the only website that I am familiar with on the internet that doesn't take you back to your previous page when you hit the back button on the browser. The times I do it out of habit is always an adventure to see what article I didn't click on appears. My hopes for the message board were not high before the merger due to this and it appears my concerns were warranted. No reason for this place to be 2008 janky football schedule signish. Just pleasantly surprised there aren't a bunch of waving school banner gifs in every post.

@lawdog - Galway last night, amazing place, loved it. Cliffs of Moher yesterday, very cool but Giants Causeway even better. Edinburgh tomorrow, Oasis there on Saturday.

-Hate the debate in my head this time of year to get YouTube TV back or not. Really want to watch college football/Cats but I would literally just be watching that for $100/month. Could go watch the game at a bar but getting a sub par UK on tv here will be a task besides going to a “sports bar” and eff that noise.

Wouldn’t it cost more to go to bars to watch games than $100 for YouTube tv? Unless you just go and take up a seat and drink water.
Get ESPN Unlimited for $30 a month and an antenna in a couple weeks. That will take care of all of the important college football and basketball and NFL.
You're gonna love Edinburgh. Definitely one of my favorite European cities. Right up there with Brussels and Florence. Don't leave without a tartan of some sort and a bottle of peat smoke Scotch.
