That's some Grade A trim to turn down that kind of money/prestige twice and live in Storrs.
I never believed he was going to take that job this year.
Is it possible Hurley is about to make an epic dynastic run at UConn. Yah, sure. But is it likely? Nah.

It never crossed my mind that Hurley would take that job. Whoever said the Lakers were just doing this so it looked like “due diligence” is spot on. “Man, we threw everything at him and he just didn’t want to come. On to plan B.”

We had until today to request up to 4 tickets for UK games only.
If we are able to fulfill your request, tickets will be allocated based on your K Fund priority ranking. Tickets will be sent via mobile delivery approximately 24 hours prior to each game. Seating will change each game based on dugout designations (home vs. visitor).
A credit card is required to place your request. If you receive tickets, your card will automatically be charged again as Kentucky advances.
PRICING & SEATING: Ticket prices range from $50-$80 per ticket per game. After reserving seats for players and coaches guests, it is expected that the majority of tickets available for baseball season ticket holders and K Fund donors to purchase will be in the upper levels of Charles Schwab Field. No refunds will be given based on seat locations received, and seats will vary game-by-game. One $10 processing fee will be assessed on all order

Have to brag again - nephew had a very productive weekend trip in from DFW.
- Offer from Murray State on Saturday.
- Worked with the top group at UL and had the OC and QB coach follow him on X after talking to him post camp.
- Capped it off at UK today and was one of 4 QB's to get pulled by the new OC to do some extra work on the side. Got to throw to Key and Brown. UK staff following him on X now also. No offer but he is just going to be a junior and they gave him some very positive feedback. I just hope he is able to get on the field and get some film.
Bat Cats have a great chance but it stinks that their entire bracket might be SEC teams.

My nephew is currently playing golf in Rochester NY for American Cancer Society with Tubby Smith and Carlos Boozer. He’s a pig in ****, as that UK era was his favorite. I bought him his Tayshaun jersey. (And Lorenzen)

In regards to Hurley. Woj knows the fam, hell he wrote the old man Bob Hurley's book, The Miracle of St. Anthony. Woj essentially getting Danny more money, making Lakers look good type reporting. Hurley was never leaving the Northeast, but he will be going to the NBA in the next couple years, be it the Knicks, Nets, Celtics (but they are doing kind of good eh?) or maybe even down the line with the Wizards.
KPP this weekend and making it to Omaha, a definite top 10 UK fan experience, maybe even top 5.
Agree that baseball/football crowds hit different than hoops. UK Baseball has a little Savannah Banana type feel with crowd participation etc, but you gotta pull out all you can for baseball interest.

You folks enjoy your baseball and golf. I will be in beautiful Hammonton, New Jersey(?) for the National Academy League soccer national championship playoffs. My kid’s reward for traveling all over the Midwest this past year and winning his conference is the privilege of traveling to the Northeast to likely get killed by teams from New York and Florida. But it’s pretty cool to get this far, I suppose.
