I don’t care who you are. At some point pride will factor in. Stoops isn’t gonna want to go 3-9 each year for the next four years regardless of the salary. It will destroy his legacy (and yes, he has a legacy here).

The problem could be he’s so stubborn that he stays and tries to prove everyone wrong.

It’s obvious he’s trying to find a way out that’s somewhat financially comparable to where he’s at now but not finding any takers.

The couching carousel is still a long way from over though but options may be slim or none for him. I mean if Purdue isn’t interested then who would take him that could pay him decently?

There are rumors that Ferentz might finally retire but have heard that even they’re not interested in him either.
