Rick must be feeling it because he’s in his “Col. Sanders” suit today
I want to defend Pope. I love him. I think it’s the right choice and a great hire. I’ve enjoyed this season. But I think it’s ok to say he may need to adjust. Not a big deal but he must adjust and that adjustment in my opinion is more intensity as a coach. JMO. Could be wrong, could be right, but today made me feel he needs to step up his intensity.

This is what happens when you get in bed with espn and Disney, Sankey! Chumps will articulate this way better than me. And he’ll be right.

Bottom line, we aren’t good in 1-on-1 situations on either end of the floor. Teams like Auburn and Alabama (on 1 side) and Arkansas and hypothetically Houston have/will exploit the piss out of that.

Go 1-1 next week. Get a win in the SECT. Hope for a good draw and try to get to the second weekend.

How long has it been since we put great back to back games together? That’s bothersome.

Yep I still dont really know who Tennessee is funny we own 2 of 5 of those losses.

Wouldnt be surprised to see UL as our 5 and Im sure it will be redass but would not be scared at all of that 4/5 matchup. No Kansas please.

Just not enough horsepower today. Have to think the guys were bummed about the Jax news too.

No excuse for some of those mistakes and it doesn't sound like Pope or the players are making them.

I really believe now that there's clarity on who we have we can still use the next two and the SEC tournament to reorganize and make some noise.

No love for the Gators? I know they lost to UGA this week, but that team is as good where you need to be as anyone and they smacked Auburn in the mouth at Auburn.

I hate that I like them, but I think they are a team that can really matchup with anyone and I think their coach is excellent.

Yeah, the Gators are solid. Can’t dismiss good guards in March and they have them. I just think they can be out-toughed at the rim. Their bigs are a good stop-gap. But I don’t trust them for 40 when it really matters. Just imo of course and I haven’t been right on most of this **** the last couple of years.

I’m honestly down to 2 teams I think are capable of winning the whole thing this year: Auburn and Houston

A small sigh of relief it’s not one of our main “national” rivals.

I’d have to put Duke in there, too. They are capable of putting points on the board in a hurry.

Until a team dependent on that many FR win it all I’ll never take a team like that serious.

Cooper Flagg included.

ESPN doesn’t give a single f*** about SEC Basketball. They have exclusive rights to one of the best conferences in college basketball history and they passed over with Gameday twice for Duke UNC.
They definitely do (Duke and UK are the biggest draws in college basketball), but I bet they don’t want two of their hosts getting booed on live tv.

Man, what a deflating start to March basketball.
Yesterday sucked, but it ultimately doesn’t mean much. Once the tournament starts, nothing that happened before means a damn thing. Bum teams go to the Final Four, great teams **** their pants in the first round - season narratives change completely. I mean, people remember the 2014 team fondly, but that team was infuriating trash until the tournament started, and they almost lost in the first round.
