I’m honestly surprised that our Shai team did as bad as it did. But looking back it was him and PJ …and that’s it? Knox I think.

Also, Edwards-Shai is about to be a perennial conference finals battle assuming neither moves.

Looks like vote may take place Tuesday to increase your taxes due to their out of control spending:

FCPS is going to propose raising the income tax (the "occupational license tax") by 50%. FIFTY PERCENT. From the current rate of 0.5% to a new rate of 0.75%. This is a tax on all salaries, wages, commissions, and other compensation for anyone who works in Fayette County.

This is a STUNNING development. Based on the size of the OLT in the current working budget, this will generate an increase of $28.5 million in tax dollars. Which would solve their $16M deficit and then some.

I sure hope that a whole bunch of people will fill the room of 450 Park Place at 6pm on Tuesday to express their disapproval.

Still not collected on anyone who doesn’t live in Fayette County and this is a resolution to request the Fiscal Court to raise the license fee, the BOE cant do it on their own.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens from there because the County Judge Executive in Fayette County is largely an elected job with very little power.

If it does go through I’d imagine anyone who had a hand in passing it will be on their last term. It’s the reason LFUCG hasn’t raised its license fee in 25+ years, with flat percentages revenue raises naturally as wages increase.

Turmoil has engulfed the Galactic Republic. The taxation of trade routes to outlying star systems is in dispute.

Hoping to resolve the matter with a blockade of deadly battleships, the greedy Trade Federation has stopped all shipping to the small planet of Naboo.

While the congress of the Republic endlessly debates this alarming chain of events, the Supreme Chancellor has secretly dispatched two Jedi Knights, the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy, to settle the conflict....

Some people have a UK man cave but I think if you went into LowerLevelSeatA's home you'd find the basement wall covered in newspaper clippings, photos, strings running to various points about FCPS much like you would in a serial killer's home or at least "Pepe Sylvia" style (that being said, I don't mind his posts).

They should just make it like college tuition, you pay for everything after graduation. Would really eliminate all the meetings, referendums and bitching.

Because turnabout is fair play, I encourage all long-time GYERaters to post regularly and exclusively about kids' travel sports in the thread linked above. Also consider cross-posting in the political thread as well.
There has been much talk about travel ball in gyero, can we also set up a separate thread for travel ball, thanks in advance! I’ve lost several minutes out of my day having to scroll past it because it doesn’t apply to me.

I came real close to making a post about Kat and what a wuss he is sometimes. Then he put on his cape and went all 2015 Wisconsin on their ***. Only difference is they kept going to him tonight.

Actually we have a decent shot at starting 3-0, but then most likely go on to lose the next five games, maybe six. Likely at best sitting at 3-6 by first week of Nov. We won’t care much though anyway because the round ball Cats will have just played Purdue(exh) then UL already and Mich St in MSG.

Memorial Day Randoms:

(2) 3” bone-in Snake River Farms Ribeyes, pork belly burnt ends on menu

Power K flag ready for backyard install

Wife doesn’t want Italian Market lights over deck… I just may listen to her

Oldest son flown in Friday from Lex for a lil break. He went straight to beach. He just came back this am for food. My man (pots & pans).

Lil guy demanded an opening day visit to the swim club. Water a zesty 61°. Blue lips and diamond cutting nipples made it a quick trip.

My latte game is legit. 20g in 40g out… milk as painty as primer. Art ensues.

Spending waaaay too much money on supplements. But hey.

Go USA🇺🇸🙏🏻

Manhunt OBL on Netflix is outstanding. First time I had heard that the fighter pilots escorting AF1 in the air on 9-11 were also told to sacrifice themselves if need be to save AF1 from an attack in the sky.

There were also fighter jets sent out with the intentions of taking out any more aircraft that had been hi-jacked, by any means, even if but meant to sacrifice themselves.

Which led to the rumors of the plane that went down in PA actually bring shot down.

There is no way my youngest was watching.
You have me mixed up with someone else.
I’ll email later. Geez.

Late, and catching up on Gyero. Memorial Day is a hell of a day to drink some beers. The Kentucky Lantern has a good op-ed about Decoration Day in the mountains. Check it out.

Also, RBD - you’re a creepy *******. I’ll be looking for you. Hope I don’t come across you. One of my buddies I’m still drinking cold beers with is an FBI special agent. I gave him your coordinates and asked him to add you to the persons of interest special list. Enjoy.

That plane was shot down, no?
That's not the official story. The story is that four badasses heard about what had happened in New York and Washington and busted into the cockpit, fighting the pilots and trying to get control of the plane. A nosedive was the best they could manage, apparently.

* A damn fine Memorial Day weekend, filled with pool time, friends, food, beers, running, dogs, family, etc.

* <-- needs a vacation FROM HIS VACATION.

* Do yourself a favor and carve out 75 minutes to watch this today.

I was literally speechless watching this interview. Tim Dillon absolutely cooked this awful chick. Like brought it to a boil, and just held it there for 75 minutes straight. I could talk about this all day long, but just some top comments/questions.....

- is this for real? like, CNN just intentionally cucked themselves.
- is SHE for real? who in TF is this gal?
- obsess over Joe Rogan much?
- Tim Dillon put on a master class. just so calm and smooth, and just held her hand and walked her thru the torture the whole way.
- is this chick for real??

* Tuesday 5:

1> Percheron Mares (Tyler Childers)
2> On The Red River (Turnpike Troubadours)
3> Years (Sierra Ferrell)
4> The Poet (Ryan Bingham)
5> Hang Me In The Tulas County Stars (John Moreland)

* Remember when DOGE cut $2 trillion from the federal budget? That was awesome.

* 11 New Orleans jailbirds escaped last week, and I always root for them to get away with it. Just seems like if they can put in the work, then they deserve their freedom.

* Stat comparison last night:

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander = 40 points / 9 boards / 10 assists
Quade Green = 0 points / 0 boards / 0 assists

* Is there a way to be keeled, aside from evenly?

* Pretty sure I strained a muscle in my back. Just started hurting like F about a week ago. You can find me on the elliptical machine or rolling around on the ground doing bs stretching as part of my rehab.

* Picked up the Billy Walters book in the Little Free Library down the street a few days ago. Long overdue. His interview on JRE was great. The one thing I took away from it the most was that he said the online gambling sites are just crushing casual players by pushing them into high risk parlays. According to him, the payout is like a fraction of what you would normally expect on a more conventional wager. What a dude.

* Tickets to see Ryan Bingham tomorrow night.

* Dumps like a truck. What. What.
