They just signed Skubal and Skenes and deferred their contracts and they are warming up in the bullpen.
It’s an absolute joke that a player can simply defer 68 of a 70 million dollar contract and none of the talking heads throw a flag on the competitive imbalance that it creates. The soft salary cap of MLB is a joke and there needs to be a cap on the % of deferred money per year. F the Dodgers!!

It was a big sports evening for the Japanese. IYKYK

Stoops is here for one more year, AT THE VERY LEAST. I will say, it at least looks like the guys are still fighting for him unlike last year when it seemed like he lost the entire program. I didn't watch one snap last night and I'm OK with it.

I'm not in a very healthy place right now when it comes to sports between streaming ********, yearly rent-a-players, the rise of rival programs, 7th year 25 year old seniors, and my alma mater seemingly way behind the times on all of it. If UofL sweeps us in both sports in the next couple of weeks, it may break me. I'll be out - out.

When I was a kid, I was on this completely awful soccer team where we didn’t win a single game in-season then miraculously won the tournament, advancing to the larger tournament. All of the parents were completely over it and kind of pissed they had to endure more crap.

That’s kind of where I am with the Auburn win. It’s a “cool but dammit” situation.

That 2027 MLB Lockout is going to be sweet. Fix this stupid *** sport
I’m being lazy here, but what are the major negotiations going to center around, if you don’t mind me asking?
Even though I have an irrational hatred of the Dodgers dating back to my childhood, the baseball postseason has few equals.

Salary cap/competitive balance are the main issues; owners want it players don’t.

IIRC, it was a Mississippi State fan who took down Freeze at Ole Miss. Freeze had been accused of in paying Laremy Tunsil and others and OM was being sued by Houston Nutt for defamation in firing him for cause and not paying g him

A MSU fan had asked Nutt's attorney if he could review the phone records he had requested for a period of time to see if Freeze had talked to a sportswriter that was relevant to the case. The MSU fan was looking for calls to recruits and improprieties there but found something else. He literally went through thousands of calls and found this one number a few.times that went to an escort service and told Nutt's lawyer.

Is there any doubt that because Kentucky beat Auburn, and got Freeze fired before church even started this morning, that Auburn will hire UK's presumed target, Jon Sumrall, which would make UK Football, by WINNING, the implement of it's own destruction?
A totally UK FB thing to do. Watching Auburn try to play offense last night gave me special insight into what other SEC teams fanbases think while watching our offense’s utter futility in trying to advance the ball with this new concept of the forward pass (Until Cutter Boley of course) and doing stupid stuff like getting an Int, and promptly fumbling it back to the other team. It was really nice to watch another SEC team play like us.

College basketball officially starts tonight. Florida and Arizona play at 7p on TNT. When did non-tournament college basketball air on TNT?

Irregardless, props to TNT for having their second game start at 9:30, rather than 9, so everyone tuning in won't have to try to figure out where to watch the game they tuned into watch like with ESPN.
