If the choice is to fire Stoops and hire Mullen I’d be the most excited UK fan.

I wasn’t as high on Sumrall and time will tell on him, but I do wish him the best. I do not think if he is successful there it means he’d have been the man here as the spectrum is different obviously.

- Also Kiffin and Weis Jr are amazingly looking like POS in all of this.

A local beat writer comparing him to not being able to make a hoe a housewife is just perfect despite his ability to win games.

Stein grew up a diehard Kentucky fan, his Dad played here and his Mom graduated from UK.

If we bring Stoops back and we lose out on Sumrall AND Stein (because he's going to get some good offers) in order to give Stoops another year then, well... That'll tear it for me. If that is the way it goes, UK Football can FINISH D'ingIAF and I wouldn't p*ss on them to put it out.

They basically said if he’ll be back then a statement will come out today but if it drags until tomorrow then a change could be coming.

If a change is made they threw out Stein, Mullen, Kelly, Hartline and Bama’s and Georgia’s D coordinators. The latter two were finalists for the UNC job last year.

Another name I’ve seen floated today that they didn’t mention is Chesney at JMU.

Matt just said that “chatter in intensifying”.

It's actually crazy it hasn't happened yet and we're all here still wondering. I mean we just lost 41-0 to a very suspect Louisville. It's over. Literally everyone agrees it needs to happen. Really highlights the incompetence and unserious nature of everyone involved in this leadership that things are where they are.

It's not surprising though. We're not a serious athletic program. And we don't have a big boy, serious athletics director.

We're more akin to a pedantic neighborhood association that monitors stuff like whether or not Christmas displays and outdoor lights are tastefully done, and frets at night because that young couple on the corner, the permissive parents, don't seem to attend church, and that's troubling.

Eat **** Mitch.

Re. Stoops, the lawyers on both sides are talking and things have gotten a little testy. Timetable is unclear, but it certainly seems like there is movement towards a change.

That raises a good question - who is Mitch’s lawyer(s)? Is he using out of town people or local?

god, the Lexington lawyer scene is horrid.

There was a malaise on this program and, by extension, this entire thread because of the unholy trinity of Cal, Stoops and Mitch. It sounds like we may be rid of all three by the end of the year (at least announced for Mitch).

While I would love some of Jon's juice for this program, I'm perfectly fine with a young offensive minded guy like Stein or Hartline. Have 0 interest in Kelly or Gruden (can't believe BJW has such a damn hard on for those asshats) but would be OK with Mullen as a 3rd option. Agree with the KSR guys, not a fan of retreads at UK. We hire a guy like Stein who turns the program around in 3 years and maybe ends up somewhere better as a result and we can him if he can't make it and look for the next guy.

We just won't be hogtied now and our future seems to have some form of hope (especially if we find a guy to unlock Boley).
