In a weird way, I don't think Cignetti's "method" would work as well at a traditional power. I could be off base here, but I think that IU with their deep NIL pocket(s) and less 5 star-stacked roster, makes a more enticing landing spot for elite portal transfers.
I mean, the guy is going to win no matter where he coaches, but this is the most dominating team I've seen since The "U" was putting HOF'ers in the league left and right, and partying with Luther Campbell back in the day, and on top of great coaching and talent evaluation (portal), they just LOOK like men playing against boys because they ARE. Indiana, IMO was the perfect landing spot/laboratory for this mad scientist.

As bad as it was, take solace in the fact that Oregon had the two best offensive performances terms of yardage and points of any IU opponent this year. Also Texas Tech had the number 3 ranked defense in college (IU was 4) and lost 23 - 0 against Oregon (who had the most offensive success of any team all season against them as well) So... And Alabama managed, you know, THREE points against IU. LOL

One more story about my old PE teacher. He had a slightly younger brother, who did magic shows on the side, who died exactly a week before him. They are having a joint funeral service for them.

He tells me the story of a morning that his PE teacher brother had him scheduled to do a magic show in front of the whole school in the gym, but he gets “wiped out” the night before, oversleeps, and is awakened by his brother beating on the door early the next morning. He said that he was still “wiped out” but got all of his magic stuff together, shows up in front of the waiting assembly and did the show still drunk from the night before. I told him that I remembered the show because I was there as a youngster. Had me fooled.

Attempting to grade Oregon's offense and/or Will Stein against this Indiana defense is just not fair.
Winning a crappy division with a losing record should not get you a home playoff game against a team that won 4 more games.

I agree with the division winner sentiment. It’s odd seeing the Rams playing at the Panthers. Instead of the Rams likely rolling at home like they deserve, they’re in a dogfight on the road.

Any team can win or lose any single game in the playoffs, it's just ridiculous though that the Panthers get rewarded just by benefiting from being in the worst division in the NFC/NFL, meanwhile, the second best team in the NFC over the course of the entire season gets the shaft.

While I 100% agree the hosting a game thing is BS, it's been BS for quite some time. Hell, the Rams own division had a 7-9 team (think it was Seattle) host a playoff game over a decade ago, and they won.
Also, in support of the local Panthers, they beat this team just a few weeks ago, so I doubt they're getting "rolled", especially considering the cracker box LA plays in is basically a 50/50 stadium like in Las Vegas.

Did you see the 1st Half? The QB had 3 turnovers which led to 21 pts. That is an awful take. Maybe you should take lap or 2

Second year QB's and first year coaches can get the yips pretty bad in the playoffs, I wouldn't put too much into them getting blown out but the injuries for Green Bay worry me.
