I guess nothing will ever top the Bird one in terms of coolness...but this year's 3pt Contest has to be the best/deepest lineup ever, right?

Steph Curry
Klay Thompson
Kyle Korver
Wesley Matthews (the NBA leader in 3pt FGs, amazingly)
JJ Redick

Usually you have 1-2 of the best guys, then a few other random guys.

Will do, Adrian.

I am picking up a fruit tray and a veggie tray and also had 3 6x3' banners made for the birthday party.

I'l be sure to let you know how the veggie tray is organized.

Your reading comprehension skills really are remarkable...

Watched There's Something About Mary for the first time in a long time the other day.

Cam Diaz was really touching hot back then.

Really? It's title is "Fury".

I guess that does lead one to believe they're in for a rom-com or morose character study. Can't judge a book by it's cover!

*I disagreed with Anth when he said/typed it. AD>WCS anywhere on the court, even on D. I love Willie, even knowing that he will have his walkabout games, just part of him now and they are fewer in number. But AD was just another beast. With Noel, it's a discussion because Willie does things NN just didn't do...WCS will have counting butterfly moments and NN would get out of position a lot chasing blocks, he couldn't switch like Willie can. AD on the other hand, did it all and did it game to game as a frosh. By the time conference play was in, he just overwhelmed opponents. You could see teams just trying anything to get him in foul trouble so as to have some working room. I remember watching that Ark game from like row 5 at Rupp (RIP to that hookup, huh?) but even the guards were looking for AD when they got the ball at the NBA 3 point line, terrified. It was comical, really.

*Even with Booker's bad shooting night, I still love the way the kid finishes on the break...he's almost MKG auto when he gets it with a full head of steam and only a guy to beat, no wasted movement. The twins could learn from that.

*Agree with Dennis on the plan you have to have to beat this team. You can't just get in a rat race, we'll blow you out. Push it initially to find holes in our transition D but if it's not there you just have to milk the clock and see if we lose concentration on a switch or something. You're not going to win by playing "7 seconds or less" against this team.

*Put me in the boat of rooting to see UVA lose, just to spite guys like Feinstein.

*Gyero was pretty hard on Towns last night, I guess I'm just an apologist for the kid, much like I was with AP in his first year when he was getting taken to task. I think Cal wants him to shoot more in the post to try and establish a second scorer with that first unit because, really, your only other consistent offensive threat is Aaron. He's got that potential, good mitts and good touch...but I agree with the scouts take, he's strong with the upper body but still needs to develop strength with his base. I think he gets pushed off balance just enough to cause him to miss a lot of his good post moves. Another year in the weight room building his lower body up and I think we would see a much more consistent finisher. Guess we'll have to enjoy watching it in the league. Oh well, I like the kid, he works hard, gets a consistent rape whistle down low and handles it like a player beyond his years.

*Lyles may be able to improve his stats by being a college 4 but the skills he is showing off now being forced to the 3 I think are actually improving his draft stock. Hell, I've been surprised by how smooth the guy is shooting and finding the open man off the bounce. I'm not sure playing the post all year would have gotten him top 10 consideration but now you see guys like that scout just salivating at such a versatile big. Seeing what guys like Draymond Green are doing now, he's going to sky rocket up the boards as the draft gets closer, IMO. Honestly, I wish he would force his offense a little more.

*Cal isn't going to do it, he hasn't since he's been here and I hope this doesn't smack of Billy Jo Wildcat simpleton...but I do wish we would occasional go to an all out press designed to cause TO's and force the tempo a little. Our press is token, just to make teams burn some shot clock getting into the half court. I wish we would just go through spurts where we went to all out trapping and gambling. I understand why we don't, because we are such a good halfcourt D that Cal doesn't want to give up easy baskets but I think it would pull us out of our droughts at times and force some energy into the team. Not going to happen, but it would be fun to watch guys like Lee running full speed around the court trying to trap and deflect passes, causing all sorts of havoc. Wishful thinking.

20-0, doh...how can you argue with that?

You're right. WCS's brief 5 minute BURST of taking the game over is on par with anything AD did or could do on D. AD's motor and intelligence are the X factors though. Still think WCS has AD on the perimeter, in fact I'm not sure any is better out there than him, but the interior and motor are much better. You just couldn't trick that guy into fouling you. Only thing you could do was put a hard move into his chest and go quick.

"The story is loosely a retelling of Moby Dick, but on a Sherman tank instead of a Nantucket Whaler. Wardaddy is Ahab obsessed with the SS, Norman is Ishmael whose soul is fought for by the other crewmen, Grady "Coon-***" Travis is Starbuck, Boyd "Bible" Swan is Elijah, and Gordo is Queequeg complete with a foreign accent. The movie opens with Wardaddy fighting an SS officer on a white horse, substituting for the white whale, and ends with the same white horse circling the destroyed tank as Norman's soul is redeemed and he is the sole survivor. Norman's first line is "My name is Norman" echoing "Call me Ishmael.""

The battle scenes are worth the watch.

There is hardly an appliance with such a broad price range as the refrigerator. We upgraded appliances a few months ago and while I had picked out a nice looking stainless fridge for $900, my wife had eyes for a nicer stainless fridge with a french doors and a bottom freezer and a separate drawer just for water bottles. It was only $3500.

We did not buy the one I picked out.

#teamboat all day.

Fury was one of the better movies I saw this year. Haven't seen American Sniper, but I can't imagine it's a better film than Fury. Better story, and all that hyped up stuff, but Fury was a damn near perfect film I thought.

That, The Drop, and Nightcrawler were great movies.

My problem with a lot of movies is I don't have time for most of their ****. Every other movie is like 2.5 hours long and filled with at least 30 minutes of completely unnecessary BS. They lack guidance. I don't get it, but that's the trend for some reason.

I love a good redemption story, in any sport.

Plus, in golf I hope EVERYONE WINS lol.

It was a great read and I love a redemption story, too, but there's a difference in making a big mistake or two and being an a-hole at the core. Besides being good at golf, that dude has seemingly no redemptive qualities.

- The weak link in this team is that the pieces don't necessarily fit too well on offense in terms of college ball. We are so absurdly big and don't have a true "small forward" wing player that the size overlaps and we the flow of the offense can at times not be pretty.

Deposite the obvious of winning a title versus not winning one always thought 2012 was vastly superior to
2010 in that regard. The pieces fit so well on offense with the 2012 team.

- Mizzou being a crap opponent or not you could see a different Andrew Harrison last night in terms of looking and playing with confidence for the first time in forever.

- Bricker's momma white or nah? Mean, Melvin's a dark skinned brother.

- Been listening to more Sturgill Simspon. Warming up to him. He's a throwback and that's refreshing.

- There is no win/win tomorrow. Give me a break. Touch UL. You don't want those dispshits getting all chesty going into February. Go Heels all day any day over the Cards.

- Did you really just ask if Booker's mom was white?
How the hell do you think Melvin's boy came out light-skinned?

- Booker is fine for a college SF. Our problem is a bit of a logjam inside.

It's the funniest thing on Twitter. He had a great week 2 weeks ago. When the NCAA gave Joe Paterno his wins back, Harbortown claimed Cal knew everything that was going on up at Penn State and kept his mouth shut.

I tweeted not too long ago that when a bottom feeder in a major conference plays a top team in that conference close (or beats them), it shows what a deep conference they are from top to bottom. When the same happens in the SEC, it shows that the top SEC teams are weak. "OMG, Virginia Tech is a lot better than they get credit for!" "LOL, Arkansas is so overrated. That league sucks."

Today's teleconference, Pitino noted that "The bottom of the ACC is very close to the top." I called BS on that, as did Wodie. Jeff Greer came back with the fact that Virginia beat VT by 3, ND beat GT by 3. UNC beat FSU by 4, and that Duke and UofL struggled with Wake. He finished it with, "I don't disagree with his point."

All conferences have tough games against the bottom half. Every single conference. That does not mean those teams are close to the top teams. Those points are mutually exclusive. If Cal would have dropped that same line, I'll bet Tipton would have literally laughed out loud at him. It's fascinating how quickly they fall in line around here, even the ones that are transplants.

This is not a book, but it is extremely accurate of the times and people involved. Any books you read mostly cover the same stuff you can find in YouTube interviews.

This link explains a lot of what is not said to "police" or in books etc, but if you look hard enough you can find bits and pieces of this story all over the place which leads people to believe it's pretty accurate.

if this has been answered already, sorry to be late but most books do not include real details.

You know after games, especially LOSSES, it became common for RICK to not do the postgame press conference in the press room. He liked to "hold court" outside the locker room, where he could better control questions (because a lot of the opposing media wouldn't go out there). One of the reporters noted recently that he had gone to the press room following a few games, which was odd. Tim Sullivan tweeted that ACC bylaws require the coaches to do so.

That's randomly fascinating to me. So, I hope UNC pushes their **** in this weekend, and RICK has to do his press conference in front of the podium again.
