Dog Greetings

I'm for whatever gets our fan base fired up. I travel a lot and have run into Bulldog fans all over, especially since the Maroon Friday thing took off. I'll give a "Hail State" or "Go Dogs" or a "GTHOM" all with equal enthusiasm. I'll even still throw down with "We Got Some Dogs Up In Here!" because I can pull it off and I roll like that. Middle-aged or old or whatever you call me, I don't really care as long our fan base shows a little excitement about all things MSU. Be loud and proud, but not obnoxious or ignorant.

Fans must have travel money since we didnt make CWS

On a serious note, I am fine with the "Hail State" pitch. I actually think it is great because it a specific element to our university. If it is resulting in people carrying a sense of pride/confidence/enjoyment in relation to Mississippi State University, then it is certainly achieving its goal.

I am glad to hear this story. People are excited about the direction of our program. Whether it is from a financial standpoint, facility improvement, football speculation, or recent baseball accomplishments....there is a lot to be excited about.

Maybe rather than do Maroon ......White in the stadium they can do "Hail State" ....... "Go Dawgs"

I hate that other SEC schools stole our "GTHOM". We had dibs on that from way back.

Can remember watching an Egg Bowl game +20 years back on TV. MSU fans were yelling across stadium at top of their lungs after National Anthem, and TV announcer said, "Really colorful language in State's Cheers".

Last June on the day we beat Virginia to go to Omaha I was in NYC wearing my MSU shirt. That morning I was with the wife in the New Yorker Hotel's lobby and some guy came running up to me yelling Hail State and we're going to Omaha. A few hours later, we had tickets for a taping of Letterman while the game was going on, end up sitting by a woman from Meridian who snuck her cell phone under her jacket to check the score.

I live in NOLA, never get a Hail State here.
