Three 5-7 squads will make bowl games....Nebraska; San Jose State and Minnesota.

Nebraska had the best APR at 985 and Minny had the lowest at 975.

I believe RU's APR was 980 and thus had we beaten Maryland - we would have been bowling probably at the expense of Minnesota.

Thus I'm curious to see what bowl Minny makes as that is the bowl RU would have probably been selected for.

I honestly don't think i would have survived another game this season... Everything that went on just absolutely ruined it for me.

I'm curious, too. I hope that even if we had won, we would still be where we are as a department with Hobbs and Ash. We will never know, I suppose.

Hobbs was a done deal before the Maryland game. Him and Barchi were interviewing the week of Thanskgiving and he was offered before Thanksgiving.

Not sure if Floods fate was decided 100% before MD game. Don't think it was.

Stop. Just stop. We lost. We had a horrible year. We deserve not to go to a bowl. Besides No one wants a participation bowl game. We can't change the year we had so there is no reason to hypothesise about woulda shoulda coulda .

Wow, Nebraska had a pretty good APR. I guess the BIG has done a lot to incentivize an emphasis on scholarship. MMM, wonder what their APR was prior BIG and when they were a dominant force in college football?

I still would have taken a bowl game at least to continue getting reps for the young guys. Flood was gone anyway, so Norries would have coached through the bowl.

I'm not so sure that reps under the schemes that will be overhauled with the new coaches would be that helpful. Our players can focus on S&C training more now.

Yeah, "here's your trophy, thank for participating, you're all winners here." Hate that. We deserve to sit home. So be it.

You may be right, but nearly every coach in the country will tell you that the extra practices and additional game experience is invaluable even if the playbook is going to change. Especially true with so many young players returning.
