Wow.

We know he is a great recruiter but we are so lucky he's not a great game day coach.

His team beat ours and is doing way better than we did against Michigan... Recruiting matters

Well it was funny. Hatenburg thought they were going to punt on 4th down so he ran off the field. Coach had to waive him back in and then had to call a time out.

Flood is a better gameday coach than Franklin, but that's not saying much.

You think that's bad Larry Fedora in a tie game uses a TO on 4th down with 32 secs to play. He wanted to be generous to Beamer in his last home game I guess, lol. Or maybe be nice to the school who will be his new employer take your pick.

Well VT knelt down on their 20 with about 26 secs left in the game and didn't bother so it didn't matter but what the heck is Fedora thinking?

We shouldn't be taking shots at other schools' in-game decisions. I seem to recall Rutgers spiking the ball on 4th down to stop the clock a few weeks ago.
Who cares. We could suck to all high hell and it doesn't change anything. Why should our dumb decisions stop us from commenting on others' dumb decisions. Dumb decisions are dumb decisions no matter who is making them.

Because on this board, you can only make fun of Flood and Rutgers. Some have lost their sense of humor about other teams' mistakes. It's not funny unless the joke is on Flood.

Not sure who calls the plays for PS but if it's Franklin he needs to fire himself. Brock Huard who's a really intelligent guy was abusing him all game. Zero imiganaton

Franklin made a poor decision earlier. 4th and goal on the 1, 8 minutes left with only 1 timeout down by 8. Went for 3 and barely made the fg. Now they still need a touchdown and if Michigan scores a td It becomes a 2 score game. Basically he was saying he did not trust his offense to score and was betting on a defensive stop. Well Michigan scored a td going up by 12.
I think you have to go for the touchdown. If you don't get it, Michigan gets the ball on the 1 and has a long way to go. If you score you can go for the tie with the point conversion.
Franklin is not a good coach.

JF remains winless against ranked opponents at PSU. They had 17 men on the field today for the entire game against Michigan and still couldn't win.

I saw that comment and I was wondering about that. I was flipping between 3 games (mostly on Temple/Memphis and ours) so not sure of the flow of the game to say for sure. 8 minutes is a lot of time left in the game to go for it so soon to tie. Was Michigan moving the ball on them easily and how much were they struggling to move the ball on Michigan. He said they were within the 10yd line 3 times and had to settle for 3 FGs so it sounds like they could move the ball but just not finish. Being at the 1 though would tempt me to go for it but 8 minutes left? Again it would depend on the feel of the game and I didn't watch it close enough to have a good grasp.

They were having trouble scoring but with the field goal and a defensive stop (which they didn't get) they still needed a touchdown. Going for it and not making it means you still need a stop and a td but not a 2 point conversion. So, it comes down to which scenario you like better 4th and goal from the 1 and a2 pointer versus a chip shot field goal and a td. Show some balls and go for it.

Seriously? Ped? Ped state? Grow up your embarrassing the RU fan base. It wasn't ever and isn't now something to mock.

At least at first it was clever. Using it now is just embarrassing the fanbase.

Franklin is a joke. Flood not belonging on the same field as Harbaugh doesn't mean that Franklin does. He doesn't.

Wrong. It needs to be kept in the public eye. They skated around it and didn't own it or properly make amends. PED Fu-cking State. No 409.

The opportunity is really here to get a better coach than franklin (not hard) and start besting them year in and out. Those hypothetical wins would fundamentally change the outlook of our program.

We need to utilize this opportunity while we have it, because Franklin probably won't be there long.

On the local Scranton TV news the other night, they said that Franklin was something like 0-14 against teams that finished the season in the top 25 (I guess that includes his time at Vandy). I think people are starting to take notice.

I wish we had a guy who could recruit like Franklin, but he's not a good coach. The guy makes almost $5 million a year, but in 5 years as a head coach the guy has never beaten a team in the regular season against a team that finishes the year with a winning record. That's truly amazing!

Franklin is Flood with better recruiting and a bigger salary. He is everything America's worst college football fanbase deserves.

I thought Hack suffered a concussion on the play he was body dropped. He looked pretty lost out there. I wonder if they tested him after the game.
