That's definitely the case
You just don't paint a schedule on a wall from memory, you have to reference another schedule while doing it and purposely write down the school names differently.
But still, I live about 50 miles from the Mississippi Border and only about 3/10 people that I run into over here know the difference. I can tell someone I went to State, and the very next thing they will ask is something about why we changed our mascot. I had one guy tell me that our "who the hell are we cheer" was cute.

I am convinced that I have been wrong... Most people really don't know the difference. I work in ATL and people that are logical sports fans walk up to me all of the time and confuse the two. Or, if they understand I am MSU, they ask something about UM. 'y'all have the grove' or 'isn't that where Eli played'. That kind of stuff. I always thought it was people just being stupid or trying to be funny. I no longer feel that way. I think people really do confuse us most of the time...
