Think I saw somewhere Kam and Asst coach McLean started following Hall on IG
Would have to throw my hat in for Mitchell if it came down to those 2, but still really intrigued by Kohler. 3 good options, just hoping to get one

I'd like to see them play H-O-R-S-E for a big crowd at Rupp and winner gets a huge offer from Pope. Best 4 out of 7 games ... !!

So, just curious why we're looking at 3/4s when it seems like we really need another shooting guard or at least a 2/3?
Kam can slide to the 4 like he did last year and that opens up Uzi to be a patchwork 5 if need be. Right now, I'm not sure we have a 2 besides Wilkins. Our guards lean PG and our forwards lean exclusively towards the forwards' skillsets, seems to me.
Anyone feel the same way or am I missing something? We can put Milan or Noah there, maybe, but I feel like they'd just get abused on defense.

and I’m not sure the drop off between mason at like 6’2 and Wilkins at 6’6 is the biggest deal

we have a starting 2 and 3. we dont have an obvious starting 4.....we hope we do.
I think you can also play Kam as a jumbo 2-guard if needed with his shooting ability, and he’s a rangy defender.
I got a chuckle out of that but then started thinking pro teams do it and pay far less than some of the NIL does. It’s not out of the question at some point that might become a real thing for injury prone players wanting high NIL demands.
I was only half joking when typing it haha, could you imagine the meltdown that would’ve ensued if we got Donnie Freeman and he got injured like he did? Granted some injuries you just can’t prevent, but at a certain point if you’re paying these guys you gotta protect yourself financially.
I have a feeling this is going to be a very long and dramatic process that won’t be satisfying

Mitchell and Kohler would be massive pickups. Personally I’m not a huge fan of Hall.
TBT was lost because of missed 3’s & FreeThrows & no REBOUNDS. Kohler is a big positive in all 3.
Yeah the Freeman “miss” and I do consider it that since we had agreed to an offer with him, was a blessing. We needed him bad at the time on a string of players choosing elsewhere. We needed talent but him going down would have been a nail in the season already imo.

I have no idea who you have given 14 scholarships to and whether keeping a couple in your back pocket, at least a couple would be beneficial to keep for this stuff, coaching changes, mid season studs who want to transfer in.
For me the first question are the hawthorns. What are these guys your Kentucky standard? We have no idea but their brothers so one family is taken up two scholarships and their kids aren’t weren’t high school studs. Usually that happens you give a brother when one brother a stud like the boozer twins.. I mean because ideally you bring in hall and the guy from Missouri

Isn't free throws and 3 point shots classified as scoring?
Proves my point, just like all the free throw misses against Arizona in the 1997 title game. Scoring more points than the opponent is the name of the game
I think they feel really good wtih Zoom, Milo and Moreno as the best players. THen Wilkins...my guage is he will be solid maybe not spectacular.
That leaves the PF as the bigger hole and Ndyia/McBride....I'd guage this as that spot is more iffy than the SG is my gut as to why Mitchell would be a focus over a SG.
You’re dead on. We’ve got question marks both inside and outside but our question marks outside are a lot more serious. And the next men we can call up if our question marks don’t pan out are sketchier outside than inside. I don’t think Mitchell’s what we need. Hall or Kohler, in Pope’s system we can get most of what we need a 2/3 for out of them more likely imo.
I went to Auburn. Most of their fans are happy to see Hall go.
I don’t know how fans know what the most pressing need would be unless you have spoken with the staff and/or watched practice.
I really don’t dislike any of the players we are talking to about joining. Kohler would really help Moreno, especially in practice with his blocking out and positioning. We don’t need a Me first player, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we are talking to some other options not mentioned here yet.

Yeah, kind of telling they are looking at PF after the offseason practices they have had. Having a long athletic guy beween the two MMs would be ideal.
I don’t know how I feel about Hall. Remarkable talent, but this will be 5 schools in 5 years and some major locker room issues is all I’ve read about online. Auburn wasn’t very good last year and if they’re happy about him leaving it makes you think.
