You have a masterful way of being 100% totally completely all inclusive wrong, yet still explaining it away as nothing. It's nearly Clintonesque.

all I saw was:

"I think very reasonable expectations would be 30 TD's out of Relf running and throwing"

"Here is why I do not bet:

It is my belief that we will run an offense this season that centers around the QB- like Mullen did with Tebow- and not the offense last season that centered around the TB. If this is indeed the case, then Relf will be around the 27-30 TD mark this season running and passing.
I believe we will snap it to Relf on the goalline and let our badass FB lead Relf's 245 pound *** into the hole as opposed to getting in the wishbone and letting small back block for small backs- therefore giving Relf a boost in rushing TD's."

I didnt predict it- I said that would be my expectation if we ran the offense the way I thought we would. We did not and he did not.

Not sure why this keeps getting brought up

that is from when I said 27-30 TD if we run the offense the way I expect us too.

So saying I predicted 30 TD's for Relf is ********

It is my "belief"(not a prediction) that Stansbury will make it to a Sweet 16 while at MSU, UNLESS he doesn't run the offense like I think he will, get the recruits that I think we might get, or if he leaves the school before 2033.

Therefore, if we don't make it by 2033, I'm not wrong, we just didn't do it within the confines of my prediction, errrr, "belief"

Every prediction on this board from here on out will be made with an "unless" this happens, or "unless" they don't do it like I think they should

and the one that AUTOMATICALLY gets you in the Tournament. That is what your dense *** fails to 17'n comprehend. We could have lost every game on our schedule, gone 0 & 17'n 30 or whatever it would have been, but won the SEC Tournament and still have gotten in. And we did just that. The game was over if the ref makes the correct call. Period. The 17'n End. Don't let your hatred for our coach blind you from the damn truth. We win that game, we are dancing.

ETA: And regarding Slive - I'm not convinced if we had won any pair of those games, we'd have gotten in. We just ***** slapped Florida on a neutral court and had a better resume than them, but good ol' Mike got them the bid instead. When it's left up to a ********** like Mike Slive, we could be undefeated in OCC and I'd still have my concerns. That's why the auto bid is so important - no one can 17 us over if we win the SECT. Except of course the SEC refs.

I think Relf is capable of throwing for 14-15 TD's with the people we have on offense and the OL that's in front of him.
I like our schedule with the OOC games and then games with Auburn, Georgia, Arkansas, Mississippi and Kentucky and their suspect secondary's.
LSU has a suspect run D

However, there is no guarantee that we will tailor the offense this way. With the influence of Hud and Koenning, we may do it a little differently. So, while I do have full confidence in my prediction- I don't have full confidence in how we will run the offense until I see it Saturday.
"

I don't see a mention of 30 ppg anywhere in that post.

...the tournament is what defines a college basketball team (and coach). Stansbury hasn't made the Sweet 16 in 12 years. TWELVE YEARS. He hasn't had Sweet 16 talent in every one of those years, but he's had it more than a few times. His predecessor made the Sweet 16 twice even though he inherited a program that was in disarray. Stansbury builds on that success by never visiting the Sweet 16 again (0-4 in the 2nd round of the tournament). Again, zero for 17'n twelve!

I'm not asking him to make it to the Final Four. We caught lightning in a bottle in '96. But how about just one 17'n Sweet 16 in 12 years?

Reading some of these posts, I guess that's just too much to ask...

Brian Brian Brian,

It’s Friday afternoon, the holiday season, and we’re bowl eligible. I didn’t want to have to stop and make you look stupid, but now I have to.

First, your theoretical 4-26 season that ends with an NCAA birth has never happened. There have been a handful of small conference teams that won their tournament and got in with records well below .500. Georgia is about the only one I can think of that comes close to that in major conference basketball. If we’re going to have this debate, let’s at least ground it in reality.

Second, the point is we should not have gone into last season’s SECT on the bubble. If we were a true tournament team, we had five months to prove it. We didn’t. One non-whistle in the last four seconds in Nashville didn’t wipe out five months of inconsistent, underachieving basketball. I point you again to the list I posted earlier. We are also fortunate there are not more games on that list, as we could have easily dropped several more games, including at LSU, at Houston, and Auburn at home. True tournament teams don’t drop that many close games and scrape by in a few others.

Third, the refs didn’t cost us the game against Kentucky. One call made in a vacuum rarely has that much impact on a game. Did they blow the call? Yes. Did it suck as a State fan? Of course. But it was also as much our fault that it got to that point.

1:41 to go, up five.

1:28 Dodson misses but Patterson gets the rebound and scores. Up three. With the ball.

OPPORTUNITY #1: GET THE REBOUND, GET FOULED, MAKE FREE THROWS AND YOU WIN THE GAME.

1:06 Cousins fouls Jarvis. Our senior All SEC center steps to the line. Misses the first. Misses the second.

OPPORTUNITY #2: MAKE THE FREE THROWS AND YOU GO UP FIVE AND PROBABLY WIN THE GAME.

But it gets worse, as you know.

0:51 Cousins misses a jumper and Bost gets the rebound. Bledsoe fouls him with 43 seconds left but that’s the sixth team foul, so we are not shooting. Stewart, another senior, and Benock turn it over on the inbounds, Wall scores, and now we are only up 1 with 40 seconds left.

OPPORTUNITY #3: DON’T TURN IT OVER, GET FOULED, HIT FREE THROWS AND YOU WIN THE GAME.

0:27 Bledsoe fouls Dee. He misses the front end of the one and one.

OPPORTUNITY #4: MAKE THE FREE THROWS AND YOU WIN THE GAME.

0:12 Wall misses. Stewart get the rebound, is fouled, and hits both free throws. So now we’re up three again.

0:07 Kentucky calls timeout. We also have the chance to talk to our team, not that you can tell it.
0:04 Bledsoe gets away with a walk on the inbounds, then gets fouled too early, goes to the line, makes one, misses one, Wall misses a three, but Cousins rebounds and puts It in to tie it.

OPPORTUNITY #5: DON’T FOUL SO QUICKLY, REDUCING THE CHANCE FOR A PUTBACK.
OPPORTUNITY #6: GET THE EFFING REBOUND AND YOU WIN THE GAME.

So if you want to blame the ref for missing the FT call, fine. The walk on Bledsoe was MUCH more blatant. But the bottom line is we had six opportunities to win the game in the last 100 seconds, and didn’t get it done. I give us full credit for playing a great 38 minutes, but the last two minutes cost us that game, not the last four seconds.

Winning the West is like getting a hand job from a girl all of your friends have 17ed... We're there just can't close when it matters. This is my first and only profile but I'll become more notable then both KP and the Goat.

That one non-call wiped out everything. The same exact scenario played out in the Pac 10 Championship, but guess what? They have competent refs and got the call right, UDub wins. It's really kind of amazing, when you think about it, that referees could actually not have some kind of an agenda for the conference in which they officiate and actually make the correct calls whenever the situation presents itself. Too bad that's a foreign concept for the SEC.

While I agree that we put ourselves in the situation to be left out of the NCAAs, if the refs did make that call like theywere supposed to then we are not sitting here bitching about Stansbury not going to the tournament last year. We would also be two time defending SEC tournamentchamps. Funny how one missed call totally changes the perception of last year's team.
