In the interest of accuracy he had 21 points on 7-13 fg; 5-11 3fg; 2-2 ft; 0 rb; 2 a; 2 to; 3 f; 4 st; in 33 minutes starting for a really bad team. Ole Miss is 1-5 against P4 competition. He got what he wanted to play a lot

It’s nice that he had his first big stat night, but numbers can feel empty if they don’t help your team win.

And his team got drilled tonight.
I guess it depends on which side of the jersey you play for.

I dunno man. People keep touring Beard as some next level dude.

He’s had one season that wasn’t a double digit loss year. Granted he made the Final Four that year.

I think he’s a solid coach but I don’t know if he’s that Tier 1A guy.
He’ll never get high enough level dudes because most parents probably don’t want their kid to be coached by a wife beater.

How many high level D1 SG do you know that are 6’, average athleticism and can’t create their own shot? The answer is 0, that’s why he play PG last year. Common sense…..
You are so wrong, the guy played pg because our PG was injured, he started the season as an off guard and their are plenty of 6 off guards in the power 5 conferences.

AJ Storr, loaded with talent but I question his mentality. Scored one point in the 15 minutes Beard played him.
He reminds of of a mercenary who took whatever offer he could get based on his talent level and early production and then just quit putting in work knowing another school would think they could change him. Another in a long line of talented athletes who don’t love the game and it shows when they get paid.

Yes athletic ones with speed and elite tangibles. Or did you conveniently miss that part. Kid will transfer from ole miss this off season and end up at a Murray state/Belmont type college more suited for his ability. Nothing wrong with it but he isn’t capable of being a Shooting Guard for a high level school. Not a knock on him, just the truth.

Name one 6’ SG at a major school who can’t create their own shot and isn’t above average in athleticism.

Meomi Pinot Noir. Works pretty well. Off until after New Years. Time to relax and enjoy life.
Glad to see us Kevin’s sticking together. I’ve never met anyone named Kevin that wasn’t brilliant.

Good for Travis.

I think he made the right decision.

Even with all our struggles this year I don’t see where it really would have made sense to give him much clock if he’d been here.

We got our *** drilled by Michigan St and the buy the Zags, any team can get drilled. The Perry kid made the right decision for himself. If you are a player, you want playing time. What fun would it be to sit on the end of the bench. I personally would rather be playing and getting drilled occasionally than sit on the end of the bench and seeing my team get driller or win. I would want playing time. Honestly Perry will never be an all SEC player or get drafted by a NBA team but by his senior year he willl be a contributor. He is a Kentuck kid and we all should root for him to play well except when he is playinf our Cats. Why do people get pissed that he wanted to be where he could get PT. I don't understand the petty bitterness toward any kid that does not play for UK. We can only have 15 kids. There are thousands of kids wanting to play college ball. There are hundreds of college players who if they were at UK would be starters. Are we pissed at those kids because they did not choose to play for us?

Beard always struck me as overrated. Never liked the guy, something about his demeanor, and that was before the legal issues. He seems to make a good impression of basketball tv personalities for some reason. Guess he knows how to BS them one on one quite well

In the NC state game Beard got angry because of a lack of effort by Storr and a few other starters. He limited their playing time especially in the second half. Perry and a few others received some extra minutes due to this. Perry had a nice game.
