Some Republicans are apprently too busy funding known fraud, as opposed to spending taxpayer money on mental health institutions.
It is certainly not something I like. However, unlike the Obama Netflix cash there is actually some ROI in this case. But, you don’t complain when Kamala, Joe, Barack, Hillary, etc get huge book or movie deals that return nothing to the company.
I’m for a total ban on these “investments” in politicians. Most of the time money goes to Democrats and you are squealing because they gave it to Trump in this case

Documentaries almost never make money so it doesn't take much to be the highest grossing one in 14 years. Amazon invested 75 million and it is getting a return of 9 million. Guaranteed money loser.
Did it stop running after 3 days? I don't go to theaters anymore, but will watch it when it streams. I am guessing there are quite a few like me and the Melania demographic is not theatre goers. We watch a lot of documentaries. This appears to still have plenty of runway to make its return. Will you be back to admit you were wrong when it is in the black? It is totally legal. As a government contractor I have to take all sorts of yearly training. Guess what, Amazon obviously asked their highest paid lawyers if this is legit and they said Yes. They have way too much to lose if it is illegal. Further, the stuff they do as a government contractor is fairly unique - not many competitors of scale in that market.
