TACO TJ is big mad this morning.
It's very possible that the US will deploy ground forces in sections of Iran (the most likely being Kharg Island and coastal areas near the Strait of Hormuz). Iran's asymmetric warfare on shipping has been its only success (the war has otherwise been a military catastrophe for the portions of the Iranian leadership that are still alive).
I'm a little lost about why you think this is a war for Israel. Of course Israel loves it (they view the Iranian government as the greatest threat, largely due to the funding of proxies to their north and south). But Iran clearly views this as an American War, as Iran is lobbing more missiles and rockets at civilian targets in Gulf states that are not Israeli allies (with some being openly hostile to Israel, tho less so than in the past these days).
Iran is effectively a rogue regime/pariah state. The US could of course have done nothing about that, it was a strategic option. Lots of people favor that option. Trump opted for bold action "taking out" leadership and a lot of the key military assets, all of which are successful. That said, the regime remains in power (it is unclear who that is, as Ayatollah Jr. may very well be in a coma or even dead), and while its military capacity is devastated, its ability to harass neighbors/cause trouble still exists so long as that's the case (even if perhaps the scope of the potential trouble is now more limited).
