I think Weissman wrote volume 2 and Mueller was mostly a figurehead. Mueller was mostly a shell of his former self by the time he was brought in front of Congress.

I agree Trump’s lack of decorum wasn’t surprising. (Edit- I guess I just expected something less harsh from him.) I am surprised at some of the righties on X who are posting vitriol. With the exception of truly horrible human beings doing inhumane things, I don’t think publicly dancing on someone’s grave has any class. It’s OK to say “ding dong the witch is dead” in private and keep your mouth shut publicly perhaps until the funeral is over.
An interesting watch

The last Dem to give a stock market tip/direction was Waltz with Tesla at around 225 !

How'd that work out ?
Tesla has been hovering around $ 400 since the Minnesota Governor wanted stockholders to sink the stock price.

Minnesota Government Employee Pension funds had about $ 200 Million in their funds !

Luckily for them since Waltz wanted them to lose their pensions the $ 200 Million has INCREASED by approx $ 200 Million to make their pensions happy.

My understanding is that after WW1 the US became isolationist because we lost a lot of lives in WW1 and the world did not get better (WW1 was proclaimed the war to end all wars).

The Allies won largely because of the Americans joining the fight. The Germans had settled with Russia so could concentrate their forces on the Western front, except there now were lots of Americans on the Allied side.

Woodrow Wilson put forward 14 points for a fair peace. The Allies ignored all but one that established a League of Nations and we know how that turned out. The result was an unstable Germany and the eventual rise of a madman. With strong isolationist sentiments the US largely stayed out the war until Japan attacked.

What is the parallel today? I'm not sure except that the Iranian govt is Hitler level of evil. If we follow the Obama doctrine of fake red lines, evil would have nuclear bombs. Tump is doing something different. I hope Trump is right.

It is rumored for most of it being turned into cash and she carries it in a money belt on her person.

There is no truth that sweat has ruined the cash. Just a good airing out is all that is needed.

The lingering sweat smell will dissipate !

Fanni is asking for a loan of $ 17,000,000 from her to pay the Lawyer fees she owes.

I am taking my first trip to check out CR in July. I now like them more :)
My Mom was born in CR, while her Dad operated a steam shovel at the Panama Canal site.

The air in Panama was thought to be bad. The cause of Malaria was still to be discovered yet.

It is family lore that he was one of the 2 steam shovels to meet in the middle to complete joining the East/West ends. (Like the 2 RR engines to meet in Utah for the driving of the gold spike.)

Here you go @bung23 .. 2 weeks later and they’re asking for $200 billion and troops on the ground. 100% approval!

You gonna send your kids to die for Israel?

You are so dumb, so very, very dumb. The Pentagon has ready to go plans for invasions of China, Russia, North Korea, and Canada. Of course, they have plans for invading Iran and are updating on them on a daily basis. Good grief, the vax fried your brain even worse!

It's very possible that the US will deploy ground forces in sections of Iran (the most likely being Kharg Island and coastal areas near the Strait of Hormuz). Iran's asymmetric warfare on shipping has been its only success (the war has otherwise been a military catastrophe for the portions of the Iranian leadership that are still alive).

I'm a little lost about why you think this is a war for Israel. Of course Israel loves it (they view the Iranian government as the greatest threat, largely due to the funding of proxies to their north and south). But Iran clearly views this as an American War, as Iran is lobbing more missiles and rockets at civilian targets in Gulf states that are not Israeli allies (with some being openly hostile to Israel, tho less so than in the past these days).

Iran is effectively a rogue regime/pariah state. The US could of course have done nothing about that, it was a strategic option. Lots of people favor that option. Trump opted for bold action "taking out" leadership and a lot of the key military assets, all of which are successful. That said, the regime remains in power (it is unclear who that is, as Ayatollah Jr. may very well be in a coma or even dead), and while its military capacity is devastated, its ability to harass neighbors/cause trouble still exists so long as that's the case (even if perhaps the scope of the potential trouble is now more limited).

Hakeem Jeffries today said that ICE agents are a risk to travelers - "they are untrained and may kill people". The rhetoric is just so stupid. I can hardly wait for the midterms.
