I haven't thought of Pig in years. He was cause of one of my most worrisome moments in HS. He played basketball at Faulkner and I played on another team in the same 1A district (who shall remain nameless because we were TERRIBLE). During his senior year in January there was a looseball scrum and I rolled up Pig in my dive for the ball. They had to carry him off and he didn't return. Worried for quite a few days that I had just "broken" one of State's good recruits. Kind of funny to think about looking back 11 or 12 years but it was one of those "oh s**t" moments when the play was over.

Pig didn't return the punt from the back of the endzone; hemade a fair catch at the 1/2 yard line.

The worst part was that he ran off the field laughing about it and Sherril did nothing. In fact, he was back in on the next punt return.

We hosted the division tourney that year, which Falkner went on to win in route to winning the State Championship that year. I have never saw a full court press as devastating as the one that Falkner ran then. They ran a 2-2-1 with Pig pretty much the only guy in the backcourt and he would just dare teams to try to throw over the top. On your HS, pm where you went.

Being in the freshman dorm, I doubt that any of his searches proved unfruitful.
And yes, we did win sectionals. It was crazy- came down to #1 singles, and our guy came from behind to win the 2nd set and 3rd tiebreaker. Nationals is in Arizona in October. Need some sponsor money - maybe DS has some cash laying around...

Some of your teammates are playing in my mixed doubles division with some really good 4.0 women (including our favorite former MSU cheerleader). We're fighting for 2nd place, but nobody but them was ever going to win this league. I fully expect their mixed team to go to nationals.
are you on a 6.5 team this fall that needs 2 players? myself and another solid 3.5 need a team. if not, guess i will pay late fee and captain up a team.</p>
Can't get you on one of the teams I'm on, but might be able to help you find another team. Pretty sure I can get you onmy spring 2011 team though. If things had turned out this fall like I thought they would, I don't think it would have been a problem at all.
