Hearing they not very happy with all the attention Bo Scarbrough is getting. He is all ready being penciled in as Alabama's starting RB. Reports that Harris is to small and would make a great special teams player. I look for him to use his redshirt year and transfer.

From my meeting with an Alabama coach (I cant name which one) he told me Harris knew he wasn't ready for a prominent role. Harris told him he would rather be a backup taking some snaps behind the Alabama OL than being featured and crushed behind the UK OL.

Not saying this would ever happen, but hypothetically say he did transfer to EKU, then the following year decided to transfer to UK, would he ever have to sit out a year?
I like the way you think. Your like three steps a head of me. I don't think he would

You're always blowing the trumpet the wrong way....

Something about this doesn't compute. If what some of you say about Harris only getting to be a special team player then why was he third on the team in RB carries? If Scarbrough is so far ahead of Harris why did Harris have 4x the # of carries/touches as Scarbrough?

I think they will split carries like Henry/Drake did this last yr. Scarbrough will be the main back and Harris will be the change of pace guy.

He would not have to sit out dropping down, but would going up, unless he could transfer as a 5th year graduate.

Good points. I think on some levels it's more the media. By people covering tide football Harris is the forgotten guy. He hasn't gotten any attention. Just another average 5 star by their reports. He was a rock star in Kentucky for 6 months. He is just another kid on campus down there.

I don't know the answer to that, I don't know if its really happened very often. But I do know he could go JUCO, redshirt, graduate and report to UK with 3 to play 3. One thing you can be pretty sure of is Bama won't release him to sign with a SEC school which means he would have to sit 2 years.

Well, since we play Alabama this year, we won't meet them in the regular season again, if he comes here....

In any other situation you'd be right. However with the way he handled the situation, I don't think the coaches would be open to having him on the team. Even though he's an amazing athlete, there are other important things that go along with it.

Scarborough was hurt a good part of the year. Only played a handful of games. He's a freak like Henry with a size and speed combo. Big enough to play linebacker but fast enough to play anywhere on the field.

He is really good and not a bad kid. Maybe he could have handled the announcement situation better but none of us here have ever been in that situation and at age 18 it was crazy. He went to one of the great dynasties of college football. I

f it didn't work out for him at Bama UK and our fans would be fools not to welcome him back. I think this whole thread may be just unfounded rumor. Grow up people. This is a guy who can win you ball games so we don't have to rely on moral (we are better than you) victories.

Maybe? You don't say.

No thanks. Gimme kids that want to be here. Gimme kids that don't lie to our coach. Gimme kids that show some level of loyalty, don't pout about playing time when the grass isn't greener or use our resources to better their chances at winning Mr. Football in a state they have no intention of playing in. You know, call me picky. I can be that way sometimes when it comes to standards.

Lots of freshmen get down when they are not immediate stars. Sports Illustrated feature on Derrick Henry said he was really unhappy as a freshman as well. Seemed to have turned his career around though. Happened to a lot of my friends' kids as well, none of whom are athletes, it is a big adjustment from HS to college, no matter who you are.

The above disclaimer aside, I would not be surprised if the OP is true. The whole Harris recruitment, coupled with the surprise announcement (to most of us anyway) to sign with Alabama, where PLENTY of highly touted RBs have been buried on the depth chart, just screamed "Bad Decision" to me. I don't hold any ill will towards him, if he wanted to come to UK, great, if not, I think the sun will rise again tomorrow anyway.

It's simple really and shows Harris that he was and forever be recruited over at Bama. Maybe he will learn a lesson but in the eyes of this UK fan he can stay away from all things Kentucky. He was not loyal to the state so only losers will be loyal to ham and make excuses for his sorry ***.

Being recruited over at a school like Alabama, osu or Michigan is the norm rather than the exception.

Then again, so are team wins.
