Manny dialed it up tonight. That man deserves to get payed, and I hope we can keep him around. I can't wait to see what they do against Alabama. That should be one hell of a ballgame.

If we screw up and beat bama, or at least hang tough and can keep Arkansas a low scoring game (as we did with Auburn and now Kentucky) I have the feeling someone comes for Diaz, either as a defensive coordinator at a more premier program, or as a head coach at a smaller school.

Kentucky is one of the best offenses in the league and our defense held them down about as well as anybody can hope to hold them down.

The QB looked scared, and was way too anxious to just get rid of the ball. On a potential game-winning drive, I'd expect and SEC QB to step up to deliver a throw and take the hit. He looked a lot more interested in just getting rid of the ball. Even on 4th down.

in my opinion as to why we are 7-2 right now.

1. We aren't turning the ball over.

2. We are MUCH better on defense in terms of scheme, bringing pressure, and changing coverages.

3. We upgraded from Torbush to Diaz in the off season. With Diaz last year we're bowling.

As much as Relf frustrates me sometimes with his poor passing skills, he doesn't turn the ball over. And our running backs do a good job of holding onto the ball. Plus Diaz has done a great job as you said.

I realize we still aren't kicking off deep everytime but the coverage is there and our punt team coverage has been outstanding. We aren't allowing drives to start on the 40...even when punting.

I thought at one point our running game ate up the clock, and that contributed to the low scoring by other teams, but last night's game threw that theory out the window. I know our ball control has come up big against Georgia and Florida at the end of games, chewing up clock.
