Has anyone ever seen this before. It's about Maggette on Coach K.

I was there for that game. Coach K took him right out. Coach K went straight to him and said don't ever do that again with more color. I had binoculars and read Coach K's lips. OFC

I was at that game too. That moment was insane.

I was there also. Before the game, heck, before the students were allowed into CIS, Brand used a step ladder to put a hand print on the glass back board. He then "hazed" the frosh Maggette by telling him to clean off the handprint. Corey then went to look for a ladder of his own, only for Brand to nix that plan. He told Corey to clean off the hand print IN GAME.
.
And he did. We lost it.

Yea the ending to that season REALLY REALLY sucked, but at the end of the day that was still a very fun season!!
The fun during that season doesn’t come close to the heartbreak and anguish from losing that champ game. I was so certain all season we had the title in the bag. Easily the most painful loss of my lifetime.

A little nugget about Maggette - my parents ran into him at the airport several years ago. My Dad is a huge Duke fan so he recognized him and got a picture with him and talked Duke for a few minutes (after my Mom approached him because my Dad didn't want to bug him). He said Maggette couldn't have been nicer.

Vitale used to always excitedly say, "Maggette Spaghetti!" He was always raving about Maggette, and how he knew he was going to be a very special player at Duke. Would have been nice to have him for 3 years. 99 was a fun season, though.

So what did Coach K say to Maggette after he slapped the backboard against UNC? Seems like Elton Brand slapped the backboard several times, too.

I do get what you are saying. It still stings me also when I think about, but I still also at the same time had a lot of fun watching that team.
