I attended on June 13 in Atlanta.

It was really produced well.

Leading off was Billy J. Kramer (who replaced the Spencer Davis Group).

Then:

The Cowsills
Gary Puckett
Mark Lindsay (lead singer -- and star -- of Paul Revere and the Raiders)
Chuck Negron (Three Dog Night)
The Turtles

Of course, these guys are pretty old now. More power to them -- they all sounded great.

Lindsay and Puckett still look good.

Negron turned 75 last week. His youthful hairstyle and stylish outfit helped him to look much younger.

I wish I was paid to sing -- especially in one's 70's.

We go every year here at KY State Fair. Fun stuff.

Puckett is horrible but other acts were still solid for old farts. And it's free.

These performers told some amusing stories.

As some of you know, Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas was/were from Liverpool; and managed by Brian Epstein (who also managed the Beatles and Gerry and the Pacemakers).

Lennon and McCartney gave a few songs to Kramer. After they had a few hits Lennon offered another song, "Bad to Me" (which I think is a very good song.) Kramer says he asked for a different one, but Lennon refused.

You've probably heard of it: " I Want to Hold Your Hand."

For whatever reason, the Beatles were big fans of Kramer when they were first starting out. Guess because they were both from Liverpool.
