Ton of mistakes in your post. Funny how you didn't name any white folks to stand with LeBron and them. This is an American problem. Bad cops effect us all ultimately so it should be everyone's concern.
Secondly, the key was to bring awareness to the masses. Moving the people is much more effective than petitioning the government. A ground swell of support from citizens is the best first step. But again attacking the method of protest shouldn't stop me from supporting something I agree with. Right?
Thirdly, and the most ridiculous thing is probably your bottom that most of this happened while we had a black president. Shamefully this had been going on for all my life and I think it's safe to assume long before then as well. In fairness to you, you may have just become aware of it.
Lastly, you say it's become a non issue when people are still being murdered. Non issue because people are choosing not to hear what CK has repeatedly said. It's not about the military. Stupid people then continue to say that it is and delay progress. Other supposedly smart people claim to care if not for the disrespecting of the military. So the issue doesn't get addressed and it's somehow again blamed on the method of protest. If they had protested differently then people wouldn't be stupid and they would understand English when they say it's not about the military. You're right. I can see why you are confused.
I think you're reading too much into my post. looking for an argument, and just trying insult another poster. I'll take your points one by one.
* Obviously there are whites that would stand with CK. I'm a white guy and mentioned that I would be supportive. I would think that would be so obvious it would go without mention.
* We'll have to agree to disagree here. I don't think protesting the flag is the best way to protest police brutality. To me the things are not connected. I think this answers the original post I responded to.
* Um, of course I'm aware there was police brutality well before President Obama. The point was CK's protest and some of the most recent events happened while a black man was president - posing the question does CK somehow think there was some coordinated Federal attack on blacks using the police force under President Obama? If he truly does believe that, then protesting the flag might make sense, but that would be like believing you're a lizard.
* Again, I would think this is obvious, and maybe I didn't word it clearly enough. Police brutality is still an issue . . . however, CK's actions have put more of a spotlight on the rights, wrongs, morality of kneeling for the national anthem. The actual issue of police brutality has gotten lost by his flag protest actions.
My original post was to simply answer another posters question about the protest. We can disagree about the effectiveness of the strategy, but to me it's pretty obvious by the results; the strategy has been an abject failure. If he was successful we would be talking about the actual issue, not the protest.
