i think we can all read between the lines on what really goes on. however, that's damn near impossible to actually prove. this guy or other similar guys all over the country charge for a service, and schools all over the country pay for these services because they are paying for something (tapes, recruiting packets with the kids' info, etc). this guy alone has "mentored" kids that went to a&m, baylor, okla st, lsu, and auburn. so if he "steered" seastrunk to oregon, then all the kids that signed with these other schools were "steered" too.
you can argue the morals of the way things work, but i just think it's almost impossible to prove. and if simply paying for these services and landing a couple of kids that come from these services, then every team in the country is gonna get hammered. hopefully this does lead to an overhaul of the rules, but this case i think merely shows the seedy underbelly of recruiting to the general public.
