Add inthe street agent down in Thibodeaux and Walt Williams up in Arkansas. Reporters are like lazy sharks, theymainly sit around and wait for a story to walk in front of them but when there's blood in the water they'll get in a frenzy to get the next scoop. This story is not going away. Even throw in Kenny Rogers it's pretty obvious he was in the 'placement' business.
Unfortunately I think it's so widespread that the NCAA will have to just issue some sort of new rulings on the matter. If they put all the schools using these guys on probation they wouldn't have enough teams to fill all the bowl slots next year. However i'd love to see Auburn go down in flames.

in 2011. When the 0-12* Oregon Ducks faced off against the 0-13* Auburn Tigers.

Read it, ho. OREGON. Don't hate. <div>
</div><div>You must be one of the detractors. It's that loser, hater mentality that I cannot stand. Had the post read: Ohio State, and if it's not ohio state, it's oregon, I would not have bumped.</div><div>
</div><div>You, on the other hand, have no clue. I knew the right answer to be Oregon, but the reason Ohio State could be totally eliminated was because the writer who was working on that stuff has reported on alot of OSU stuff in the past. All of this info flies right over your head, though, so no hard feelings. </div><div>
</div><div>Let's make a deal: I'll keep being right, and you keep hating.</div>

The ole FIFY routine. Always a "go-to" move for some. Personally I don't roll with the FIFY routine, but to each his own.<div>
</div><div>I know it stings a little bit. You have this message board persona you really want to be wrong, yet time and again, he's right.</div><div>
</div><div>All in good fun.</div><div>
</div><div>We have a 30% chance of winning the SEC tourney. Who agrees?</div><div>

unless the $$ ended up with a player or a player's parent, there's nothing here but exposing more of the seedy underbelly that legally exists in CFB recruiting. this guy "mentored" players who went to lsu, a&m, okla st, baylor, etc. too. shady? sure. illegal? not on the surface.

that's not saying the ncaa shouldn't try to clean **** like this up.

here's an explanation from oregon's old recruiting coordinator on why these services are important to schools. hell, i hope mullen has a few of these guys on the books.

this would look a lot cleaner if these guys were only doing what they profess to do: provide film, etc.

But you have guys like Lyles targeting players and getting in good with them and controlling their recruitment. That's why people go to them.

ruling on designated drivers, we are definetly getting our *** kicked in this category and there either needs to be a rule against it or we need to start recrutin non-booster drivers to provide transportation to our events and away from our rivals events.

Let me rephrase:<div>
</div><div>I cannot fathom why one would suggest that I should be estopped from right to recall this thread. It seems axiomatic from the title of my post that my proffer in response to the thread query was Oregon. I believe it a disingenuous position indeed to offer negativity rather than congratulation for my correct answer. This writer, undoubtedly not a man of moorish ancestry, believes that internal animosity and lack of confidence (i.e., small penis complex) may have spurned such a poorly couched idea.</div><div>

i think we can all read between the lines on what really goes on. however, that's damn near impossible to actually prove. this guy or other similar guys all over the country charge for a service, and schools all over the country pay for these services because they are paying for something (tapes, recruiting packets with the kids' info, etc). this guy alone has "mentored" kids that went to a&m, baylor, okla st, lsu, and auburn. so if he "steered" seastrunk to oregon, then all the kids that signed with these other schools were "steered" too.

you can argue the morals of the way things work, but i just think it's almost impossible to prove. and if simply paying for these services and landing a couple of kids that come from these services, then every team in the country is gonna get hammered. hopefully this does lead to an overhaul of the rules, but this case i think merely shows the seedy underbelly of recruiting to the general public.
