Don't like. Generally don't think the game is worth celebrating, but I do

get that that the sports marketing guys are trying to build promotion, excitement, etc...I get it. However, its a little embarassing celebrating and Indy Bowl...because it snowed.

Don't look at it as celebrating an Indy Bowl victory, because it's not. It's simply using a highly visible game between MSU and TAMU to promote this game and sort of welcome them to the conference.

For what it's worth, the 2000 Snow Bowl was the last football game played in the 20th century. It does have a little historical significance because of that. Not much, but it's a footnote, anyway.

They're already being welcomed by State due to the white unis...this is nothing but overkill...tacky. It's like saying" Man, we can't wait to get back to Shreveport."

I don't understand

why we are going overboard welcoming them into the SEC? If we were just joining, does anyone think the other schools would be ringing cowbells to welcome us?

I think the Snow Bowl is the most overrated MSU victory. It capped off a disappointing 7-4 season and it was a really sloppy game. John Micheal Marlin Charlie Browned a kickoff in the game for goodness sakes.

Honestly, after we won I was happy. But in no way shape or form did I feel like "that was a really huge win for the program".

I don't see it as salivating over Shreveport, but I do think it's much ado about nothing. The game wasn't that big a deal.

The Snow Bowl was a helluva game, regardless of what bowl it was, our record, or how sloppy the game played. It is an incredibly memorable game in MSU's history. Nothing more, nothing less. Hashtag fur TAMU is cool for this year, then move on

We should start personalizing the endzone for every visitor....

Next year, for the Alabama game, we can put #asskicking13.

Not only that, but it seemed that after that game, Sherrill's tenure went straight downhill, but it actually began with the Arkansas cold as hell game in Starkville...just a lot of bad karma. Also the State hero of the game went to prison. I don't know whether he's still there or not. The rest of the country will wonder just what the hell it's all about.

I think beating Michigan two years ago was more memorable

and a great accomplishment. After their first two touchdowns, we totally throttled their "outstanding" quarterback. I don't remember the line, but we were supposed to lose badly because they are Michigan with tradition and we are MSU with no tradition except the cowbell.

The Snow Bowl was fun, and a nice win, and a close game ... but I don't recall that A&M was some powerhouse at the time. And I almost froze to death sitting in the stands ....

Even the players will wonder what it's all about. The oldest presently on either team was about 8 years old when the game was played. But I guess it's fun ... just this once. As you recall, if we'd won the cold Arkansas game (and we should have ... the field was a quagmire and what's his name slipped on a chip shot field goal) we'd have gone to Atlanta. So playing A&M was really a downer.
