Brando tweets that Mullen to Miami makes sense "to get out of State's situation with Newton allegations." Why do they continually try to pin this on us?
Putting on our absurdity and bass-ackward beanies here, wouldn't these "allegations" also intertwine with Mullen too? You think Miami wants to get involved in that, too?Becky the Icebox said:Brando tweets that Mullen to Miami makes sense "to get out of State's situation with Newton allegations." because the Auburn people I know are being very, very quiet. The only thing I have heard is that there was pay-for-play but that the NCAA couldn't have caught it. It all comes down to what the FBI has. MSU may have broken a rule by meeting with Rodgers, by not reporting the second it happened and continuing to recruit Cam but all of that is minor. The NCAA has never gone after the team that turned a major violation in and has never even gone after a team involved that didn't get the player. Worst case scenario we get a slap on the wrist. The investigation is entirely about Auburn at this point.VinceVega70 said:tells me there is no paper trail at Auburn to find, but that a State alum (Rogers) is neck deep in this and the Auburn people are thinking that the remaining investigation is primarily of our handling of the situation. Including the fact that we continued recruiting Cam after his dad and Rogers made their pitch. <div>I sure as hell hope they are wrong.</div>
this is where the hammer will come from, and what they provide from their end....the FBI kicked this whole thing off and the NCAA had to wait on themAssEndDawg said:because the Auburn people I know are being very, very quiet. I honestly don't know what to say. The word retarded comes to mind.As more and more details emerge, the more it appears the hammer of the
NCAA could potentially come down on Mississippi State. Auburn and Cam
Newton are not under investigation, but Mississippi State is. Mullen
might think about leaving to get out from under the dark cloud of the
situation and potentially leave before the program is punished, a la
Pete Carroll.
