Have we set the record yet for decommits from a Top 15 program without a HC change?
I'm no good at sales personally so maybe I don't have the ability to understand this but what do you have to do to close with recruits who have already committed assuming every thing is above board? We had a really good class committed at one time so no one can say Mullen can't recruit. We beat expectations on the field and closed out the season for the second year in a row with the perception that we're on the rise and next year expectations are we'll be an even better team. Yes, losing two coaches would be expected to set us back a little but not dramatically, assuming that everyone is recruiting by the same rules. So seriously, other than continuing to communicate with your committed recruits that you're excited about them joining the program what should a coaching staff do to avoid this scenario, while operating within the NCAA rules?
Regardless, while obviously it would be better to sign these guys I don't think that the way this one class is shaping up will send us back to the 2001-2008 era.
