Havelock will hang for a while, but New Bern will eventually wear them down. New Bern just grinds on you.
Havelock has quick striking power tho so it could come down to last quarter it depends on turn overs and penalties that’s gonna decide this game
Should be a good one. Our lines on both sides of the ball are better than last year. Had over 350 yards rushing last week against a 5A team from VA that has only lost 5 games since 2019 (two of those losses are to NB). Looking forward to playing in Havelock as it’s been awhile.
I wondered how you would pick. I have to agree cause NB is strong. Havelock needs to play without the penalties. Can't afford to give NB anything if you want to have a chance.
I’m going New Bern because they have faced tougher comp so far and that usually helps in games like this
Tomorrow night should be good too. I was out of town when we played NB so I didn't get to watch their JV game either but I did see Havelock's last week. Got some big boy's and plenty of them. If you are in the area Thursday you should check that out. Will be 2 good games .
You act as if havelock doesn’t have many sophomores on varsity or some their running back started varsity last year as a freshman lol and they have others on varsity as well that are sophomores havelock will be deep for the next 4 years lol

Should be a great game, if HHS shuts down NB run and hold them to less than 200 I have HHS if HHS plays a clean game and kills the penalties Also. Other wise I love my Rams I have NB edging HHS in a good one. But as we all know it can get out of hand quick on each side and end up in a blow out as we have seen over the last few years
Or maybe you’re jv just not that deep this year lol doesn’t make sense to move players up from jv if they not gonna play
They’ve done it for years now and it’s worked out pretty well.
I’m not a New Bern guy. But they don’t put a lot of stock in JV. The kids they pull up get varsity experience because they have a lot of blow outs.
That is true. NB has groomed underclassmen in varsity for years. I should have thought to say that when I discussed the JV game but in all honesty I just forgot it.
Those kids get the experience they need during the week.
NB just intercepted a pass. Ball was intercepted by a 10th grader, who could be on JV

I still think we will be ok in 3a we had a touchdown called back and we was able to move the ball down the field just couldn’t put it in the end zone
