article posted yet. Looks like Houston might not have to make the decision of whether to honor Jamar's scholarship as the State Attorney in Florida might to it for him. Beating someone with brass knucks because he rear-ended you in a drive-thru, all while on probation. Good decision, young man. Good decision.

if you're Houston Nutt.

As a State fan, I'm forced to believe in second chances. But, beating somebody at the drive thru? Knowing that your license plate is there for all to see. On top of stealing from the dead. Geez.

when someone rear ends you, it's not your fault. All he had to do was sit there and wait on the police to arrive and exchange info like insurance co. numbers and all that. There was no need for him to go beat the guy up.

...one of Hornsby's posse demanded money on the spot to pay for the scratched bumper. The guy refused saying he'd file a police report and let his insurance handle it (if there was damage at all). But he was then threatened so he handed over an empty wallet with only credit cards. Guess having been downn the stolen credit card road before, Hornsby decided to go a different route and supposedly he replied by saying "Guess I'm gone haf'ta take it out'cho ***...." And wailed on the guy with the brass knuckles.

/all that is second hand info

Unless he'd been drinking, which he probably had since he was at McDonald's at that hour, and didn't want a DUI. Just sayin.

I heard the young man charged toward Jamar and Jamar broke his nose in self defense. The police came and investigated and decided there was no need for any arrests. Then, the young man filed charges at a later date.

/I have no idea what happened, but any rational person probably has a tough time believing a guy who just hit 3 football players' car charged toward the driver.

especially taking up a full ride. I know we've had our share of shitheads, but this dude is up there. I'd have been pissed if we'd have taken him in the first place after what he did at Florida.

why were the brass knuckles involved? Was he wearing them as a fashion accessory? And what about the $6?

Chuck is full of ****.....

Starkville police arrested Jamar Hornsby on March 1 and charged him with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor petit larceny after he and two fellow East Mississippi Community College teammates allegedly assaulted the man.

Starkville police Det. Maurice Johnson said Hornsby, Darrell Simmons and Robert Jordan were arrested around 2:15 a.m. March 1 after an unidentified man rear-ended his vehicle as both waited for service.

2 hours and 15 minutes is not a "later date"

does he? If the SPD answers a call at 2am regarding a fight, somebody is getting arrested.

...they'd show up in a mood to serve as community counselors.

The dudes that pull the grave yard shift aren't exactly the mellowed veterans.

Wait, your McDonald's is open at 2 AM?

That's awesome.

Someone on Nafoom posted that two important qualities for a DB are the ability to pick someone's pocket and knock you out. Hornsby's obviously just showing that he has Pacman like ability.

Thats what MOST sane and rational people who actually have jobs and pay bills do.

I hope you are NOT naive enough to think a guy who has the track record of Hornsby waits around for the police to show up so he can flash his Farm Bureau card (especially since he's on Probation).

Golly-Gee-Willikers Todd4State, this is Jamar FREAKING Hornsby not Greg Brady.

Of course, Hornsby would have been ticketed for not having insurance (assuming he doesn't) and possibly arrested for DUI (I think there's at least a reasonable chance he might have had some alcohol or drugs in his system out at 2AM on a weekend night).
