Hunter is still standing on top of the plate. I saw the replay of the HR in game 1 and that ball was on the outside corner. I then watched his first AB in game 2 where he walked. The pitcher threw him 2 strikes in the inside corner and he had no chance then inexplicably tries to throw high fastball away and another pitch away and ends up walking him. Here was a kid that couldn't throw 85 and Hunter has no chance on an inside strike. Just don't understand how they still let him stand that close to the plate. That's why his draft stock went in the outhouse

Maybe Bruce should be sending the strongly worded emails instead of me.

Yesterday, Hunter hit a homer in Game one. It landed over the wall in Adkerson Plaza. He is about to tie (3 away) Bulldogs Bruce soon. If Bulldog had had the short porch that Hunter has, he would have hit 20 more homers to his credit.

He will probably be at the top of the career HR list after this season and I am glad for him. I just know he is hurting himself by where he sets up. He would have been at the top already and probably not still be in Starkville.

hes one of the best power hitters this program has seen. his draft stock is plenty high... yet people on these boards dont appreciate.

if it was as simple as back up off the plate... it would have been done already.

sit back.. relax.. watch him hit 280-320 and 16-22 homers this season and be glad we have him.

I’m interested to see if the Giants continue to allow Dakota Jordan to stand in the plate.

Obviously not. He has NEVER moved off the plate. Your supposed to be better as a junior obviously the book has been written on him and all the SEC teams know it and he didn't adjust last year.

Dakota is a totally different type of hitter than Hunter. He is more on his front foot than Hunter, along the lines of how Henry Aaron hit. He will pull in his hands and get "inside the ball" like they say today. His biggest issue was not letting the ball get deeper on him. He was so good when he hit the ball to right center.

His draft stock is WHAT? Did we watch the same draft this past year?!
