I’m with you on that, but now that all the Chatter has cooled down a bit, and after a couple of weeks with names being thrown out, and how seasons have gone. It’s just a guessing game now till they make an announcement. I mean, Butch had some smoke, now after this weekend at Ol Dixie, apparently he sunk himself (Just speculation). It’s definitely gonna be wait and see. Regardless, whoever is blessed to get this job, guy better come in and just go balls to the wall on taking this team to where it needs to be.

The Indiana HC y'all can't be bothered to look up is Tracy Smith. Indiana had been to one NCAA tourney in it's history before he got there. Lemonis kept it up to a decent standard, but he didn't create it.
Smith went to Arizona State where he got fired after 7 seasons and is now at Michigan.

It’s always been a guessing game. All the “chatter” you’ve seen & heard is pure speculation from people who do not know.
Just curious - why a "hard no" to Wake's coach? This year was a down year but they've been very successful under Tom Walter. Just the WF connection with Selmon?
1 CWS + 1 super regional in 15 seasons and 22 games under .500 in ACC. May as well just kept Lemonis.
I'm not advocating for Walter; I was just wondering since this thread was the first time I'd seen his name even pop up - made me wonder if anyone was seriously considering him for someone to put him on a "hard no" list. (And mostly because I'm a WFU grad as well).
What @patdog said above....he is a good coach, but no where near the resume needed to lead this program....Lemonis 2.0 IMO
No offense taken - I was just wondering since I'd never even heard his name as a possibility.
I’m not advocating for him to be hired just merely letting folks know that he’s actually in the hunt seriously and can tell you in actuality not speculation. Hell I’ve know him all my life and think a lot of him but still got some HCs I want before him and hope it’s the case. It would be lazy of our school and or indicate basically no good HC wants to be here. Hope I am wrong. Then again if Will was hired I’d have to give him a chance and root for him I just don’t think this is the place to start out. Which I know they are still going to be trying to get a sitting HC and hopefully will.
